Alot of this is anti-Murtha. One interesting factor in this race is the recognition factor. Virtually 100% of voters in this district are familiar with the name Murtha. Bill Russell, on the other hand, has had to work very hard to get his name known by 50% of voters. It proves your point about an anti-Murtha sentiment, considering the race is basically a dead heat.

What would be really funny is if it's close in Pennsylvania and it turns out Murtha's comments motivated just enough anti-Murtha votes that carried over to more anti-Obama voters showing up to give the state to McCain.
