Whatever happens, her future will keep her in eyeglasses a long time. Like they now say, 60 is the new 40? Well, Sarah is the new Hillary. The right wing will start positioning her for down the line. And does she know it? You betcha.
Meantime, that already skinny frame has lost weight. Campaign plane eats are crappy. Snack bars, crackers. Her kids bring their own food. Days go 7 a.m. to midnight, bags picked up 8 a.m. Get on a plane, each trip between one and four hours, then a motorcade, then back for the next run. No time to change. No first class. It's total crunch.
She has a photographic memory. Her head is down in the position papers, she blinks twice, never looks up, turns the page, reads some more. Reads, reads, reads. The kids adore her. She's happiest when they're along. Little Piper even has her own fan base and signs autographs. But, on the plane, if one hugs her, she puts her hands up to touch them, never takes eyes off the paper, just keeps reading.
The only time she relaxes is in the car with her family. The shoulders then slump a little, she doesn't seem happy, but, ever a good soldier, she turns it on for the crowds.
Yes, she's gone off the reservation, she feels "trapped," she hates swallowing her own freewheeling thoughts. Her speeches are read and approved by 17 people. She is surrounded by minders whose lot is to control her. She doesn't speak freely. She hunkers down with the only three who make her feel comfortable - Kris Perry, who ran her gubernatorial run, Penny Owen, her Alaska friend from high school who helps with the children, and the Husband.

Nice piece by Cindy -- sort of fits in with Greta's interview last night. Good to know that Sarah's not only got a political future, she also has a financial one.
Imitation is the greatest compliment you can give a person.
Unless.....it's an annoying kid who repeats everything you're saying...until he/she gets sent to their room.
She still draws MEGA crowds, no TELE-PROMPTER, notes or queue cards. She has a loving family who are with here everywhere and she speaks with a power and a conviction that cannot be matched by any of the other 3 major candidates.
Sarah is 100% the America we all love and I know that more Americans love her than the air head, empty suit O.
McCain’s handlers screwed her up from the start. She is making a nice recovery...but Bush’s old people and Romney’s team really sandbagged her.
Bastards. Just let Sarah be Sarah.
17 people going over her words that she is allowed to say? Give me a break.
She’s always had a great future - even before her selection for this ticket.
Well her you go... enjoy.
My only concern has been the “restrictions” placed on a Pres. and VP.
Sarah is a free thinker and free speaker, so I’m sure it can be somewhat frustrating to be limited. But she is doing a remarkable job of it all and is the main reason this election is winnable for the GOP.
