THE DEAD PELICAN HAS OBTAINED THE FOLLOWING DETAILS ABOUT THE U.S. SENATE RACE!
POLLSTER: ONMESSAGE, INC.
METHODOLOGY: 900 STATEWIDE LIKELY VOTERS;
IF THE ELECTION FOR U.S. SENATE WERE HELD TODAY AND THE CANDIDATES WERE MARY LANDRIEU, THE DEMOCRAT AND JOHN KENNEDY, THE REPUBLICAN FOR WHOM WOULD YOU
VOTE?
LANDRIEU 45, KENNEDY 44, UNDECIDED/OTHER 11
DEVELOPING...
Of course, there's a WWL poll that shows Obama and McCain in a dead heat in Louisiana....*snort*
Oh God please let it be sooooo.
Although compared to that other fat liberal blonde McCaskill, I prefer Landreau.
A Republican named John Kennedy? Wow.

Now that would be nice. It’s time for her to go.
Please let this be true.
I think Jindal decided to jump in and throw his weight behind Kennedy to knock off Landrieu. It was viewed as a bit of a risk to his political clout...but if he helps pull it off it will vault him that much more into power within the national scene.
Landrieu SHOULD be vulnerable, but a lot of RINOs have supported her because of her ability to bring home pork.

God, I hope McCain has coattails in Lousiana.
Landrieu is a soulmate of McCaskill, however Mary has read the tea leaves well in LA and has moderated her politics accordingly.

Since the hurricane, the political picture in Louisiana has changed a bit. Liberal New Orleans isn’t as much of a factor and Bobby Jindal has been elected governor. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Landrieu go down.
A slap in the face for UpChuckie Schumer!
I’m not crazy about Kennedy either, but I’m willing to bite it if it means Mary gets booted.
I hate to be the proverbial you-know-what in the punchbowl, but Mary will probably win the way she has in the past. Her family is powerful in New Orleans, and they are really good at getting out the dead vote. Mary always seems to get just enough votes in NO to win. Hope I’m wrong, but I doubt it.
Well, he used to be a democrat.. then he was a republican...then a democrat... now a republican again... *L* I may be exaggerating a little, but he IS a bit flaky IMO..but I’ll vote for him if it takes Mary down
Lots of ACORN talk concerning Mary too....so yeah, she’ll probly manage to get JUST enough votes.
As General Lee would say: “lovely ground.”
Oh wait, he lost that one.
