WASHINGTON (AP) — Barack Obama's aunt, a Kenyan woman who has been quietly living in public housing in Boston, is in the United States illegally after an immigration judge rejected her request for asylum four years ago, The Associated Press has learned.
Zeituni Onyango, 56, referred to as "Aunti Zeituni" in Obama's memoir, was instructed to leave the United States by a U.S. immigration judge who denied her asylum request, a person familiar with the matter told the AP late Friday. This person spoke on condition of anonymity because no one was authorized to discuss Onyango's case.
Information about the deportation case was disclosed and confirmed by two separate sources, one of them a federal law enforcment official. The information they made available is known to officials in the federal government, but the AP could not establish whether anyone at a political level in the Bush administration or in the McCain campaign had been involved in its release.
Onyango's refusal to leave the country would represent an administrative, non-criminal violation of U.S. immigration law, meaning such cases are handled outside the criminal court system. Estimates vary, but many experts believe there are more than 10 million such immigrants in the United States.
The AP could not reach Onyango immediately for comment. No one answered the telephone number listed in her name late Friday. It was unclear why her request for asylum was rejected in 2004.

Well, we do know his mother’s name was Stanley Ann Dunham (do we?) and we’ve seen images of him as a little boy in Hawaii (if it was him) and we know he went to school in Indonesia where he was enrolled as Barry Soetoro and a muslim (if that was him) and he went to Columbia University (where 400 classmates of the same year didn’t remember him)and then to Harvard (but there’s no paper-trail, he had all his records sealed)he maintains that his father was a black goatherder from Kenya named Barack Hussein Obama (but there’s no birth record)and we will never know if he was related to him (because he won’t supply his medical records, so we don’t even know his blood-type) all we really know is that his ears are exactly the same as Malcolm X (born Malcolm Little) which he wasn’t, he was over six foot tall, just like obama is, (but the Kenyan goatherder was only 5’10”) - so you see what I’m getting at?

What the heck is a "resident health advocate"? And what the heck is the "Experience Corps" - it sounds like one of Alinsky/Obama/Ayers' community pressure groups.
This lady was apparently only in her 50s. How was she managing to live in a senior citizens' development and why, although she had supposedly worked in computers, was she on welfare? This is truly an incredible story.
Don't hold your breath for anybody to be upset, though. Note that the local rep was "bursting with pride" when he found out.
Resident Health Advocate Program
Public housing residents from throughout the city are part of the Resident Health Advocate program. Participants in the program train on many topics, including: health assessment models, leadership skills, cultural competence, outreach education, navigating the health care system, asthma, first aid, nutrition for life, mental health, depression, stress, and STDs.
Those that graduate from the first phase of the program continue their training in four separate programs:
The GirlStars program targets girls at the Archdale and Washington-Beech developments and is designed to introduce girls to structured physical/recreational activities.
Those in the General Health Advocates Program will create a team of public housing residents to inform and advocate for other residents at the developments.
Others will tackle Family Health Promotion.
The remaining graduates will be a part of the Cancer Screening Program.
