Ahh... man... i’m disappointed!...

Looked more like the kid got something sticky on his hands, and he was trying to shake it off.

I was hoping for at least a little bit of a “Yelp” or a jump in the air, or maybe even a little bit of crying!

The guy needs to turn up the voltage, and sell online viewing slots where participants can rate the shocks!

That one scored a weak 3 out of 10.

Nope, no need to chance a lawsuit if somebody gets seriously injured. As one who has designed, built, and deployed electric fences for domestic livestock, I can tell you that the effect of a shock generator varies widely based on relative humidity, what the person is wearing, how wet the ground is, etc. In other words, the strength of the delivered shock is rather unpredictable.

So the intelligent thing to do is, as this fellow did, set it only high enough to protect the sign, without trying to really blast the perp into next week.

That said, I agree that I would have enjoyed more of a pained reaction from the thief.
