McCain appeared for about 50 minutes in a gymnasium packed with more than 3,000 enthusiastic supporters and an additional overflow crowd of 1,200 in the adjacent Mentor Fine Arts Center.
McCain also brought along Samuel Joe the Plumber Wurzelbacher, who spoke to the crowd softly before those in the audience quickly told him to speak up.
Wurzelbacher said people should find out facts and information about the candidates for themselves.
Once you find out the facts, they become quite obvious, Wurzelbacher said while pointing to McCain.
State Rep. Carol-Ann Schindel, R-Leroy Township, and U.S. Rep. Steven C. LaTourette, R-Bainbridge Township, spoke prior to McCains appearance.
He needs to be in venues that can handle 30,000, not 5,000
I’m originally from Lake County and know that Lake and Geauga County are solid Republican. I wish he would go to Columbus or the west side of Cleveland rather than preaching to the choir.
Can’t risk not filling up the large venues this late in the game.
