Fort Huachuca Arizona Antiwar Protest
National Religious Campaign Against Torqure ^ | Southwest Weekend of Protest

Posted on 10/30/2008 9:26:20 PM PDT by SSBN Sailor

Ft. Huachuca is the home of USAICS, the U.S. Army Intelligence Center and School, and has a long history of complicity in U.S. crimes of torture. The torture manuals used at the School of the Americas came from Ft. Huachuca. For several years, in solidarity with the SOA Watch annual vigil and action at Fort Benning, Georgia to close the U.S. Army’s School of the Americas (now the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation) there has been a growing grassroots demonstration at the gate of Fort Huachuca to protest our country’s slipping standards on torture, being practiced in our name and with our tax dollars in places like Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo. The November 2008 demonstration at Ft. Huachuca will take place the week before the Ft. Benning vigil and action.

Once again the loons will be at the main gate of Ft Huachua on Nov 15th to protest just about anything American. If you can come out and give them a nice counter protest welcome. I will be there.

Let us pray for a big, big thunderstorm on November 15. Also big thunderstorms on 11/4 since Republicans are like the mailmen, neither rain, nor sleet nor snow nor dark of night... whereas Democrats seem always able to find a reason not to vote, e.g., I have a sore toe, I slept late, I got up too early and was tired, I had to do my hair, etc.

It’s a damn good thing that I live too far away to drive there and demand that these coward commie pinkos come out in the desert and have a good old fist fight to the finish to see who has the balls to do anything but support our military!

Last year there were a few Army wives who pretty much asked them out to the desert to discuss it.

Why don’t you guys just change out the road signs, scramble some On Star systems and get back to the business of torturing your students.

...and by coincidence the Rachael Corey Memorial Bulldozer will just happen to be on display at Ft. Huachuca on those same days....hmmm...

Wish Huachuca was closer to us so we could join you.

It’s predecessor, Ft Holabird in Baltimore (Dundalk area) is where I graduated in 1966, with a 97B40. Loved the live exercises in downtown B-More, forays to the Block and bonding at the Bird.

Hopefully, MI uses these demonstrators as live exercises to fine-tune image interpretation, utilize electronic surveillance and physical surveillance and oh yes, refine Interrogation techniques.

As part of our training, we were introduced to waterboarding, although it wasn’t called that, some shock treatment, being bound while snakes were moved around your chest. This was to gives us hands on experience with how the NVA might interrogate us.

These anti-America, anti-military jerks wouldn’t hesitate to use these techniques if they ever took charge.

After doing a little more research it looks like they plan to be at the gate on Sunday the 16th. They plan a rally at The park near the gate 10 am to 3 pm with a march to the gate. Hope the Vets for peace buss shows up again without any Vets on board. Last year the driver got a ticket.

Could you feed me the Intel and sources on that? I’ll see that the Provo gets it first thing Monday morning.
