Death threats are made against Fresno Mayor Alan Autry for his support of Proposition 8.
Prop 8 is a ballot measure that if approved by voters next Tuesday will define marriage as only between a man and a woman. (It would ban gay marriage.)
Also, well known local Pastor Jim Franklin, also an outspoken supporter of Prop 8 has also recieved death threats against him, and his family.
Local police Chief, Jerry Dyer confirms the threats and says the department is taking the threat seriously. Both men have police protection tonight.
Sources will not say exactly what the threat said - or how it was delivered - via fax or phone or someother way.
Marriage is already defined as only between a man and a woman. Prop 8 will keep it that way.
On the local forum the rhetoric is heated because the homosexuals are angry there are not more No signs.
The liberal homos can really get nasty beside doing the nasty where the Sun do not shine.

Actually, under California Law - thanks to the California Supreme Court - Gay marriage is not only legal - but the law of the land in California.

I just find it comical that the same people (libs) who claim to be for the powerless care more about the trees and the carribou than they do about unborn humans.

Unbelievable. Why would the peace loving radicals who for years have urged us to celebrate diversity, be issuing death threats over an election?????
Maybe they are frustrated to find themselves in an election on marriage. They thought that once the court did their dirty work for them, that they wouldn’t have to do anything else.
I often wonder why the heck the gay lobbyists didn’t simply go to various states and try to get the legislatures to pass same sex marriage laws. I know it’s hard to get laws changed, however, in the past few years, 27 states have amended their constitutions to define marriage and exclude the possibility of homosexual marriage. I don’t think the gay lobby was prepared for all of these constitutional amendments on marriage to upset their plans to force this issue through the courts. The backlash that they created may hurt them on Tuesday in California, Arizona, and Florida. Stay tuned.
Look at the bright side...
If marriage is not between a man and a woman, you can just ask the same question that the guy on the infomercial at 3 am asks:
“How can I use that information to work for me?”
For example:
Why not marry your dog so the bitch qualifies for your company healthcare plan?
Think of all the vet bills you’ll save.
Instead of saying the Proposition defines Marriage as between a Man and a Woman, it says it “Bans Same Sex Marriage”. This of course is a misnomer.
The problem with the current law is that it opens the door to Polygamy and any other sort of deviant lifestyles that would be forced upon the populace.
What really pisses me off though, is that the State School Superintendent is in the Anti Prop 8 ads lying is arse off. He has a conflict of interest and should be fired IMHO.
Since virtually all political violence and intimidation is committed by the Left (e.g., no one is afraid to put an Obama sticker on his car, but millions of people are afraid to put a McCain sticker on their cars) it’s time to start shutting down leftist organizations, certainly time to DEFUND them, and start deporting leftists when they reveal themselves.
Otherwise, the Brownshirt tactics and violence are only going to escalate, and we are headed for a violent, Maoist dictatorship, only starting under Obama.
Tolerance is great. Everything goes with libs...unless you are a smoker or a hard working taxpayer.

As a Californian, I am well aware. I was responding the sentence that said Prop 8 will define the word 'marriage'. 4 activist judges have not redefined the word; it already has a definition. All they've done is try to apply their own liberal interpretation as to its legal application.
The definition of the word marriage remains:

woman establish their decision to live as husband and
wife by legal commitments, religious ceremonies, etc.
Especially horses, at least up in WA where gay men enjoy "togetherness" with the "studs."
