I just caught a segment of tonight's Obama rally. He told those attending that "five days from now we will fundamentally change America".
Somebody pinch me and tell me this is all a bad dream. How can so many Americans not be listening to what this guy is really saying?
I refuse to believe that America will elect as POTUS this untested, unproven, unknown left-wing radical, who can't make it one week without another shady association being revealed. This is like the twilight zone.
Of course Obama is going to win the support of the far too many "Americans" who share his ideology, but I just can't figure out what has gotten into to the rest of the electorate? How can states like OH, PA and VA actually be so close, even in a bad GOP year?
I am fully confident that on November 4th, sober Americans will take their voting responsibility seriously and elect John McCain, a man who made great sacrifice for his country, over this guy who just showed up and wants to "change America".
But for this election to even be close is a sad commentary on the State of this Union.
"Wake up America!"
No idea why you could “ hate” someone and not be able to come up with a single reason for feeling that way. She also had no reason for voting for Obama.
I have moonbats on both sides of the family ( they say I’m adopted )and live in Erie County, NY. Gets tough every 4 years.
The worst thing we can do is think we know the future.
The polling from the last several elections has been bad and they are over-reporting Dem and Indep %’s.
I live in Missouri and John McCain is ahead in polling here.
We have chosen the President since 1904 and are the Bellwether state. (1 exception in 1956 when Eisenhower lost in Missouri by 4,000 votes). 26-1 since 1904
Elitists have a tight click don’t they.
Call them ELITISTS....see how they like THAT.....
I know being a teacher she should be a Dem. , but she is a registered Rep. has always voted Rep.
My youngest daughter is a rabid McCain/Palin supporter and drives the family nuts with her anti-Obama text messages. ;)
Good job Mom!
Hmmmm, there is an idea for a holiday t-shirt. lol
How can you have a brother in law that is a Catholic priest? Priests can’t marry.
You are so sweet!
I may stop in to hubbys side at Thanksgiving after all with a new t-shirt. Could be interesting.
The priest is hubbys brother, the a-hole is his sister.
The brother of your spouse is your brother-in-law. You’re married, he’s not.
Her spouse’s brother would be the priest.
maybe it’s her husbands’ brother....I had to think about that too ;)
At least 10 in my family voting for McCain/Palin, 1 is voting for Obama, not sure if the rest are even voting.
is it possible to have brain damage keeping up with this election?
:)
Welcome to Vanity Republic.
Yeah, I’m feeling like a curmudgeon.
I agree that the vanity posts are getting out of control. I am merely reporting Obama’s statement from his rally.
Education has little to do with having common sense-many times it gets in the way. I call those types the "hyper-educated".
And you have my sympathies--one of my hubby's brothers is a PhD in philosophy and "ethics" who actually gave up his citizenship and moved to Canada. His wife is getting her PhD in "womyn's studies". Every election season he sends emails about how he's concerned with the image "we" have in the eyes of the rest of the world. (I keep thinking, who's "we", buster?) He'll include a NYT editorial or two in hopes that he can "bring us to our senses".
My hubby's parents are Greenpeace donating, NPR listening, Save the Earth Fanatics who idolize their oldest son. The youngest is a history and economics teacher who will sheepishly vote for Obama even though he fully realizes he is a Marxist.
I can barely stand to look at these people who will sell their grandchildren down the river after having benefitted from all the blessings that America bestowed upon them.
All my in-laws of which they are a lot who are all Dems are all voting for McCain/Palin. Could have knocked me over with a feather. About half of them are in S. Florida and the other half in Upstate NY.
