An Associated Press-Yahoo! News poll shows that among adults who backed his rival during their bitter primary campaign percent now support Obama. That is the same percentage who said so in June...

Hopefully the PUMAS will be enough to offset the huge black turnout.

Anyone got figures on how many more blacks are expected to vote this year than last election?

"You can bet that way over 3 million will show up to vote for McCain."

that would be huge. That is 3 million taken from those that that normally vote Democrat voting for the republicans. that is a +6 million change.

I’ve said since the beginning of this election season that THE story will be Obama not being able to hold his base, he won’t come close to the level of support enjoyed by Gore and Kerry.

I look forward to being proven right shortly.

____________

Since they have been stuffing the ballot boxes since the beginning of time in the black community, it will probably be similar to previous elections.

Unless they want to show 120-140% turnout this election!

Evwen if they went third party or stayed home, that’s a Democrat vote Obama can’t count on.

58% are not voting for McCain, normally, hte vast majory, 90% plus vote for the nominee. So the real story here is that 10,000,000 votes normally counted on, are not going to be there for the Dimms, regardless of whether McCain gets them or not....That is a lot of ground for him to make up...

BCS, they don’t show. This drills the Dems down the ticket. Unless, of course, they are pi$$ed enough to want to get even with Harry Reid and all the other Dem Senators who turned their back on Clinton.

thank you

My only question is, in the IBD poll, you would think that the lack of Hillary voter support would put McCain up, but maybe they are just reporting themselves as undecided....., or maybe the pollsters are asking who they voted for in the primary, and then leaving the Hillary voters off the poll?

I think a lot of PUMAS are very upset about how Clinton supporters were treated in the caucuses and may very well vote for McCain or at least not vote for Obama

God, I hope so!

I have met and spoken to PUMAs, and if it’s possible for anyone to dislike Obama more than the McCain/Palin supporters, they certainly do.

Also, it is tremendously unusual for the candidate who captures his party;s nomination first to lose in the general. McCain clinched in mate Feb/early March. Obama not until three months later. Again, anything can happen - this is a screwy year and maybe without a “moderate” like McCain in the race Romney, Thompson and Huckabee would have been fighting over votes until the convention. As it was, McCain swamped them all as they divided the conservative vote. Again, speculation upon speculation.

But in a nutshell this should be a huge Democrat year (ugh!), given what people are being fed about the war, economy, etc. The fact that even the MSM shows a close race demonstrates that Obama is a very weak candidate, notwithstanding the money, charisma, etc. With so little experience, how could he not be?

In any event, I do hope you are right. It’ won’t be long now until we all find out.

I have heard that the increased black vote will add 4-5,000,000 votes.

Hopefully a huge chunk of those will come in states were it wouldn't effect the outcome (Alabama, Mississippi, Louisana, South Carolina, etc.)

It seems it is causing us the most problems in Virgina and North Carolina, states we should have wrapped up if not for the increase.

Susan Estrich has said all along that she believed 1/3 of Hillary’s supporters would go McCain. Susan seems to be one of the few realists in the Dim party, I just saw her today talking about how every election of her lifetime was supposed to be the one that the youth vote turns out for and it has yet to happen.

I personally think the gay guy hanging Sarah in effigy in his Halloween display was good for 2=6 million democratic female votes, whether PUMAS or not.

Just take a look online for the huge number of grass roots Democrats and PUMA’s working their “tails” off for McCain/Palin.

Then take a look at all the grass-roots Republicans working tirelessly for Obama.......

They will only report this story after Obama loses. Many democrats were comfortable with McCain BEFORE Obama was a blip on the radar screen. Many democrats and PUMA’S are as disgusted with Obama as we are.

One final push!

The challenge:

Between NOW and election day, convince at least two Obama/Undecided voters to vote for McCain. Further, convince these two people (or two others) to take up the same challenge. (Like a chain letter)

So you have converted people in the past? Good, but we need more!

Many Obama supporters are mindlessly supporting him, with no real reason, this is VERY easy to get them to switch over. Even if you fail, other Obama/undecideds may be in the room and hear valid arguments.

Do your part! Start the conversion process!

"I heard that on Fox a week ago that Rendell was telling him to get himself to PA"

Could have been disinformation on Rendel's part aimed at Republicans.
