LA Times editor wins 2008 Dan Rather award

There is a building in Los Angeles which used to house a newspaper called the Times. The Times has gone out of business and the building has been converted into a brothel. The company was good enough to offer the journalists retraining and new jobs and they are now working there, male and female, as whores.

The company decided on this direction when they realized they could no longer masquerade as a newspaper since they were suppressing a news item, a video showing Barack Obama partying it up with a number of prominent Jew bashers and unrepentant terrorists. The journalists-cum-whores are members of a growing cult worshipping none other than an apotheosized Obama and it is now against their religion to subject their lord to anything which may in any way taint his holiness.

In a related development Rich Oppel, chairman of the Pulitzer Prize board, has announced that Russ Stanton, who had been editor of the Times and now is chief bouncer at the brothel, will receive the 2008 Dan Rather Award. This new award was created by the Pulitzer board for disservice below and beyond to the professional of journalism.

I recommend that others read the entire story, because it contains a very useful distinction between promising to protect the source's identity and promising not to make public the tape. The tape is the reporter's and the publication's only available proof that the story was not a libel or a hoax. Such unconditional promises about the tape cannot be made, and it is not a violation of journalistic ethics to make the tape available.
