One thing about the so called fairness doctrine, is this. Rush, Hannity and others are opinion shows. How can the government regulate opinion? Rush generally does not have guests, and he does allow people opposing views to call in.

Nope - The Congress can only legislate the “publicly owned” airwaves AM/FM/VHF/UHF. At least that’s what the law was when I got my FCC Class B broadcast license *mumble* years ago ..(Thanks to Rush).

So far, privately owned satellites, cables and Internet IPs are out of the FCCs reach ... (although the Internet is becoming more “grey-area” everyday as those in power in Congress, lust for more.

Of course, if private ownership goes out the window with some new “share the wealth” socialist redistribution, all bets are off.

From what I read on FR (no way was I going to watch), people will be turned off by the sense of entitlement on display by the featured “victims”. It didn't appear they were willing to make adjustments in their personal habits to align with their changing economic condition.
