FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Police say an Air Force sergeant shot an intruder at his apartment, then gave the man first aid while waiting for police officers to arrive.

So, will there be a follow-on lawsuit against this airman for violating the would-be robbers civil rights to redistribution?

Or, maybe he simply wanted to stop the bleeding on his carpet?

He should have killed him to avoid a potential suit - sad, but true

Air Force training includes marksmanship and basic first aid.

I just had to requalify recently and we’re taught “two to the body, one to the head”. This guy actually got off light!

LOL ... giving CPR without stopping blood flow is a quick way to cause the perp to go DRT. And it looks good on news footage cause “they tried”.

“I pray the robber doesn’t sue him.”

That’s why I always say; “when in doubt - empty the clip”...dead men do not sue.

Most said they were pleased that Johnson protected his property. One unidentified man said he would be "very upset" if shooting the suspect gets Johnson in trouble.

"He just protected himself," Triplett said. "I'd do the same thing. I'm glad he did it."

My feelings exactly, I like the Sergeant’s neighbors.

If the first round had been placed well (headshot!), bleeding would have been minimized!
