McCain camp trying to scapegoat Palin
Yahoo News ^ | 10/30/08 | Roer Simon

Posted on 10/30/2008 7:17:48 AM PDT by Roberts

John McCain's campaign is looking for a scapegoat. It is looking for someone to blame if McCain loses on Tuesday.

And it has decided on Sarah Palin.

In recent days, a McCain “adviser” told Dana Bash of CNN: “She is a diva. She takes no advice from anyone.”

Imagine not taking advice from the geniuses at the McCain campaign. What could Palin be thinking?

Also, a “top McCain adviser” told Mike Allen of Politico that Palin is “a whack job.”

Maybe she is. But who chose to put this “whack job” on the ticket? Wasn’t it John McCain? And wasn’t it his first presidential-level decision?

And if you are a 72-year-old presidential candidate, wouldn’t you expect that your running mate’s fitness for high office would come under a little extra scrutiny? And, therefore, wouldn’t you make your selection with care? (To say nothing about caring about the future of the nation?)

McCain didn’t seem to care that much. McCain admitted recently on national TV that he “didn’t know her well at all” before he chose Palin.

But why not? Why didn’t he get to know her better before he made his choice?

It’s not like he was rushed. McCain wrapped up the Republican nomination in early March. He didn’t announce his choice for a running mate until late August.

Wasn’t that enough time for McCain to get to know Palin? Wasn’t that enough time for his crackerjack “vetters” to investigate Palin’s strengths and weaknesses, check through records and published accounts, talk to a few people, and learn that she was not only a diva but a whack job diva?

That’s a darn good list!

It gripes me to no end that elections can only be entered, let alone won, by those with the $$$ to enter the arena. That part of the system needs to be fixed the most.

They think we’re stupid enough to buy that?

I don’t believe McCain would have drawn so many people without her.

He didn’t seem to really take off until he added her to the ticket. When he did that people became enthusiastic about voting for him, but we know most are really voting for her.

I haven’t seen anything about clothespins and nose holding since Sarah came along.

If Obama wins, the blame lies squarely on the RNC who regularly knives conservatives in the back instead of promoting them as they should.

Look what they did to Hunter.

Hunter/Palin would have satisfied the misogynist phonies but he never got a chance.

I keep thinking how much better Sarah will be when she will no longer have to worry about defending McCain. I think she has looked awkward when trying to defend him.

"Roger Simon is a leftist tool from Politico."

Bingo. Politico has become unreadable. Simon has a couple disgruntled Mittbots (not Mitt himself who has been a trooper) as 'sources'. Eff him and his dishonest house...

I voted already.

I was thinking of taking a bus to Ohio.

I understand that if I take up a park bench there I can register and vote as a “homeless guy”. But maybe that just applies to DemocRats.

Good Point .

For crying out loud its Obama lie machine from POLITICO which appears to be a Soros funded DNC PR group.

Does anyone else recall how it was reported that Soros wanted to set up a Dem media front group back in 2005 and then suddenly POLITICO showed up in 2006 just before the election ?

I think POLITICO IS THAT DNC front group !

Roger Simon is an Obamamouthpiece. If there was no Palin, me and the other volunteer-army I’m with would be comfortably at home instead of in a BG state - making thousands of calls, hours of street-side campaigning, working night and day. We wouldn’t do it for Romney or McCain - WE DO IT FOR SARAH!

This is pure unadulerated CRAP! Simon has been anti McCain before he became anti-McCain/Palin after she was added to the ticket. He is from Politico who the ONLY Republican they liked was Romney. Should tell you something right there.

Reminder I am talking about paid campaign people not supporters since some on here get the two mixed up. This has zero, zip, nada to do with supporters but the people who were hired to help who keep on leaking.

The problem in this campaign came AFTER the convention when Bush/Romney people went to ‘help’ Sarah, were removed by Schmidt and Davis, and have been trying to stir up problems ever since.

This article is more of the same type of crap I have come to expect from the Romney people that cannot stand the thought of Sarah Palin being the new voice for Republicans in DC.

They are going to win on Tuesday in spite of the Bush/Romney people trying to tell McCain how to run his campaign they have ignored and those same people now have their noses out of joint. All you have to do is see McCain/Palin on stage together to know they get along very well.

I can’t believe there are some here that give this hit piece any creds.

Politico came into being about the same time O started his run if I recall and is always a far left BS spreader.

Politico promoted itself as non-partisan - yeah sure.......

If this “mole” heard Palin’s new stump speech on Fox this morning, he would know McCain should get on his knees and thank the Good Lord for Sarah Palin! She was fired up and the crowd was elated - I believe it was the best speech of the election speech!!! If you didn’t see it, i’m sure it’s on Fox....
