Who should take over the anchor slot after Brit Hume steps down? I don't know but I for one am sure going to miss him. He is, in my humble opinion, the best news anchor of this generation. Any thoughts out there?

I completely agree with you. Brit Hume is my favorite anchor man ever. I don’t watch much else on Fox any more, sometimes Greta.
My guess, FWIW: Either Bret Baier or Bill Sammon. Both are good eggs.

I think Barack Obama can fill in that time slot... He’s a known quantity, he speaks eloquently, he’d help to balance out the views of Fox, and god willing, he will only be a senator, which will afford him plenty of time for a nightly news show. He’s already shown how well he can flake out on his senate duties while ‘in office’, so a few more years of an empty suit senator from IL wouldn’t really change anything.
And if Huckabee can make the leap, Obama can as well.

It’s my understanding, assuming there are tapes and assuming they will be aired and assuming Greta has them, is that about 15 minutes will be cut because they are too explosive. Don’t doubt me. I got it from a Nigerian prince.
