Invoking William Ayers and Rev. Jeremiah Wright on MSNBC’s Hardball with Chris Matthews, former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay declared that Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) is a radical and a Marxist. Matthews asked DeLay if he was comfortable with the McCain campaign using phrases like, socialist, communist, anti-American. DeLay said “absolutely". Referring to his recent interview with Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), Matthews said, “We had someone on this show the other day who said Obama should be checked out for being anti-American. Where would you put him, do you think he’s anti-American?” DeLay said, “I’m not going to go that far, but I tagged him as a Marxist months ago.”

I miss Tom Delay and what the Rats did to him is unforgivable. I get steamed everytime I think of it. We should just have a corrupt state attorney general charge Obama for fraud with his rezko house deal...and then after the election choose not to prosecute.

I have met the guy (even did some dancing with him - DANCING, not anything else!!! - a long time ago - and he was charming, gracious and thoroughly enjoyed being the thorn in Barney Frank’s side. Now he’s gone and Barney has no one to keep him in check on the Repub side - witness the Fannie/Fred mess. I think, alongwith Lott, he was left hanging out to dry by W - for whatever reason - and that was too bad.

The Republican party was on the expressway to minority status from the instant they let the ‘rats get away with orchestrating a political hit on our powerful and effective majority leader. War was declared. We surrendered. Here we are.
The entire GOP establishment should have circled the wagons on that one. The people who deserved to be thrown to the wolves were pork worshiping scum like Sen Stevens, Duke Cunningham, and our infamous page boy lover.
I need to ask a serious political question:
Do you think that the Democrats really messed up by letting the extreme radical left wing of their party along with the cooperation of the main stream media push Obama out as the nominee over Hillary Clinton?
How tight do you think this race would be if Hillary was at the top of the ticket with Obama as the VP?
Even, God forbid, he should win about half of the country knows that he is an anti Isreal, Marxist/Communist.

Anyone ever notice that under both Clinton (Gingrich) and GWB (Delay) that the economy started turning downward after these effective Speakers of the House were pushed out? They just got things done. Hastert was ineffective and Pelosi is even less effective.
Yes, Gingrich had ethical issues but he paid for it while the ethically challenged Clinton never did. Delay’s ousting was purely political.
And walked into the lin’s den to give it.
He did a good job.

Ok, I don’t recall ever saying this, but this episode was pretty much lame. It had its moments, but was lame overall.
