Kenya Won't Bring Leaders to Justice
Post Global ^ | October 29, 2008 | Njoroge Wachai

The world, I bet, has not forgotten gory scenes of death and destruction that Kenya witnessed early this year over a disputed presidential election. And the world should not forget that dark chapter of Kenyan history because the perpetrators of that mayhem have not been brought to book.

A whopping 1,200 innocent people lost their lives within a period of one month. Goons recruited and bankrolled by politicians, some now serving in the coalition government of President Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga, systematically decimated whole families. In one incident in Western Kenya, marauding thugs, believed to be supporters of Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Agriculture Minister William Ruto, soaked a church where members of the populous Kikuyu community were cowering with petrol and set it ablaze. About fifty mostly women and children perished in that most bestial attack.

Raila Odinga, who the author says is connected to the slaughter of thousands of people, has announced that he endorses Obama for president. Obama reportedly raised $1 million for Odinga's campaign in Kenya.

.

I still say the Obama/Odinga thing would bring Obama down.
THE SHEER AUDACITY OF OBAMA GOING TO KENYA ON OUR TAX PAYER DOLLAR TO CAMPAIGN FOR THE MURDEROUS ISLAM-BACKED ODINGA!!!

Few American voters have a clue about all this!
Why won’t the media touch it? Even Fox won’t publicize it.
Some of us have conducted a letter-writing campaign to Fox get this out to the voter without results.

Read a good account of the whole thing here:

Odinga was Obama’s candidate in Kenya.

We PAID for Barry, a sitting US Senator to go over to Kenya and campaign on behalf of the thug Odinga, an avowed Marxist. C’mon MSM!

Well, Freepers know what happened, but very few others do. The atrocities were committed by Railla Odinga and his Muslim/Communist followers—egged on and bankrolled by Hussein Obama.

None of this is terribly evident in the article. And notice that the author seems to thing that Kibaki’s planning with his cabinet to “get back” at Odinga—who had lost the election—is morally equivalent to Odinga’s mass murders of innocent Christians.

Also notable that apparently the feckless George Bush sent Condi Rice, as well as the former Sec Gen of the UN, to force Kibaki to accept this murderous Communist into his government, although he had lost the election. Typical State Department solution—reward the guilty murderer with a post as Prime Minister.

Not much Kibaki can do if the UN and the US are both leaning on him, was there? And Obama now in the wings as possibly the next POTUS.

Yes, horrible atrocities were committed, but who was to blame is really obscured by this article.

And let me guess Kenya does not have the right to keep and bear arms

Actually, this story claims that Obama tried to bring calm to the situation and links to a WP article from the primaries where Obama is said to have asked Rice to intercede.

First he goes and stirs the pot in Kenya, then he asks for calm and acts above it all. Sounds like a pattern: First his democrat friends screw up the economy, then he offers to restore calm.

Well, Obama could ask Rice to intercede, but she works for Bush, and would not have gone without administration approval.

But as you say, if anything this article makes Obama look good—if you don’t know what actually happened.

Obama calling for a civilian security force, equal in size, scope, and budget to the military.

Yes, 2.3 MILLION "civilians" working with a $651 billion budget at the direct behest of the Obamassiah.

But don't be afraid! It's for your own security. Just line up and choose your symbol to wear so you can be properly classified by the security forces...

More on the East Africa Standard along with the Waki Report about Kenyan violence.

They are predicting that by 8:30PM EST on election night, Obama will be the clear winner by a landslide. Obama is the man "who has brought victory to Kenya and Africa". All the various worldwide Obama clan are converging on Kogelo for an all-nighter party. I wonder what will happen if Obama loses?

It's disturbing. It should be disturbing news to his followers but it's not.

Kenya won't bring leaders to justice? No kidding. What possible incentive would they have to even entertain the idea? Puh-lease, the mere idea that someone would even ask the question is an annoyance.

Those killings happened in Africa. So what! No one gives a darn. People saw hundreds of thousands get slaughtered in Rwanda without a care, so what if 1,500 get killed elsewhere.

If people cared for people getting burned inside a church by supporters of a person Obama campaigned for in the same manner that they cared about the tragic and horrific murders of the mom, brother and nephew of an American Idol winner, then the election would have been won long ago. However, these people died in Africa, and thus they don't matter more than a mere shake of the head for most Americans.

It's a dead issue. Instead of 1,500 people dead, it could have been 150,000 ....or even multiples of that like Rwanda ....and still people would not have given a care.

Maybe if some elephants had also been killed ....I hear that the resumption of ivory trade in Southern Africa has made a significant number of Americans on the left angry. Maybe next time a couple dozen elephants can be killed, and maybe then ....just maybe ....people may take a few seconds off their morning coffee to also notice that HUMANS were also dying.

Or maybe that cat in Japan that was made a conductor of a train station, and has brought over 10 million Dollars to that small town in Japan, could have been sent over during the killings to garner additional attention to the issue. After all, Africans burning inside a church, getting hacked inside their homes, getting shot outside in the dark, or simply stoned in the bright of day, need all the publicity they can get.

The REALLY FREAKING IRONIC THING THAT GETS ME BLOODY MAD is that after 9/11 there were some tribes-people, who were so bloody poor that they had next to nothing, who got together and pooled some of their cattle to try and send to the United States as consolation. These people had nothing, but they did that as a show of solidarity in the only way they knew how ...and the most expensive way for them ....cattle.

When the script flips, and people there get burned inside places of worship, hardly a care. Next time those guys should save their cows.

I understand that gun ownership by citizens of Kenya is illegal, with certain exceptions. No sure if this is completely accurate, but it sounds likely.
