I just hope this isn’t being overplayed. There IS the remote possibility that the tape won’t show anything damaging to Obama. However, it’s ANOTHER example of stonewalling, like with the birth certificate, and the willingness of the MSM to play along with the Obama campaign.

I don't think it is. As you say, there is probably not a lot there. However, there probably are some anti-Israeli remarks made and most likely Obama sat through them with an approving expression on his face. Also, toasting a person with a link to the PLO would not be good for his "Ayers is just a guy in the neighborhood" theme.

I worry about this for two reasons. The first is that when McCain was the chairman of the International Republican Institute several grants (over half a million dollars) were given out to a group co founded by Khalidi. McCains hands are not clean when it comes to this man. The second is that the electorate really just doesn't care about this. The base does, but the spongy middle doesn't. So if it turns out there isn't any “there” there on the tape, the MSM just spins against McCain. I think this isn't something to pin our hopes on.

That’s been my concern (fear) that the story will be so hyped the LAT will release it over the weekend and it will prove to be nothing, much like the video of the Clinton deposition ... where, as I understand it, Clinton was totally unglued OFF tape but did fine while the tape was running.
