Really? I have dispatched many a critter with a 22. Get a 22 inside the skull and it does interesting things. Another little thing that is not widely known is that under the right circumstance a 22 will penetrate a level 2 vest.

You’re right, but I’d still rather have a little more on my side. For someone like this lady, who probably doesn’t get much range time, something like a .38 revolver would be a no brainer to use and have more punch with little recoil. I didn’t make the comment to be dead serious, and I’m sure there’s a lot more opinions out there.

I have recently trained several older women in pistol shooting. Their grips is really poor and one I had to devise a new hold for her to even be able to cycle the slide on a 92FS. She was only in her early 60’s. If you want to be rich design a gun that has the punch of a 357 with no recoil and a button cocking system.

“Good for killing” isn’t the same as “good for stopping”...a weapon that takes many shots to stop someone will more likely kill that person than a one-shot stop from a more appropriate cartridge.
