WASHINGTON Presidential candidate Barack Obama is making significant gains among Jewish voters, according to two new polls.
The polls suggest that after months of hovering around 60 per cent, Obama appears to be within striking distance of the 75 to 80 per cent of the Jewish vote won by the three previous Democratic nominees for president. A Gallup tracking poll of 564 registered Jewish voters, taken over the first three weeks of October, found Obama leading Republican John McCain by a 74 to 22 per cent margin. That was a 13-point increase in support for the Democratic nominee since Gallups July poll, which had Obama leading 61 to 34 per cent.

jews that are anti israel?
That is an offensive and Anti-Semitic statement.
The Jewish population in America has always voted Democrat and there voting Democrats does not make them "Israel hating or JINOs" as you put it.
Obama while not my choice is no Adolf Hitler.
However, if you believe that to be the case, you should send a note to the McCain campaign urging the candidate to cut a commercial stating that Obama is Hitler.
The Hamas endorsement of Obama holds as much significance as the al-Qaeda endorsement of McCain.

Big difference, Kerry wasn't a Muslim.
Mugabe lite.
The point is that neither endorsement will have an impact on the election and American Jews will for what ever reason vote for Obama.
And in the process of their voting Democrat, they should not be called “self-hating or Israel hating Jews.”
I agree with you. I find it offensive when people say a certain group is voting against their own self interest. I remember after the 2004 election many on the left made similar arguments about red state voters. People are free to make whatever choice they want in this country... no matter how foolish.
Nowhere, AIPAC doesn't make political contributions. They're an advocacy group, similar to the NRA, but a non-profit. If you have actual evidence, don't bother to post, contact the FBI, they'll be glad to shut them down.

Given the fact that the Jewish community was desparate to leave the country, 75% were partially successful but couldn't get out of Europe, it's not credible to contend they were supporters of Hitler.
To the extent that FR is about winning voters to McCain, suggesting that European Jews were responsible for their own extermination won't be effective.
Frankly, suggesting that Obama is Hitler isn't effective either.
It's a right/left issue. Though a generalization, I think it's fair to say the left would have preferred negotiation with Sadaam to action, and would prefer negotiation with Iran. They believe that's in America's best interest. It should come as no surprise people holding those views would negotiation with Israel's enemies to be in Israel's best interests. Regardless of their religion. It's the policy issue, particularly the belief that a determined enemy will be disuaded with words, that must be addressed.
I don't see the relationship between those two numbers. Although W was reputed to get only 25% of the Jewish vote nationally, a swing of 5% of the Jewish vote toward the GOP in '04 as compared to '00 meant a net pickup of 50,000 votes in FL as compared to '00. That was enough by itself to turn FL from a recount mess into a solid GOP margin - although Bush won FL by 300,000+ in '04.
In the 2006 Congressional elections, Jews voted for Democrats at the rate of 89%.
That's a distorted number from one 'Rat poll. Even at that, many of these congressional elections in heavily Jewish areas took place in districts where the 'Rat ran unopposed or practically unopposed. In one competitive district in some Chicago suburbs, the winning GOP candidate got 35% of the Jewish vote.
Please see my post # 25. The polls cited in this posted article are grossly skewed toward the 'Rats for the reasons I indicated there. Look for McCain to come out with something around 40% of the Jewish vote when all is said and done, if polled accurately.
I will ignore this until November 5th. After that, if a Jew is dunb enough to support a Jew hater from Jeremiah Wright’s church of hate.....well...they will find out.
It is a Jew’s problem, not mine.
I agree NY and Ca Jews do not count. But are Florida jews voting differently?
I also agree with the article that Jews are turned off by Palin.
There I fixed it.
