WIndflier,

What a good post. I’m getting that feeling, too. I’ve spent the last two nights making GOTV calls at the local Republican HQ, in the loony San Francisco area.

I’ve made calls to people who are new Americans, of every nationality, every age ... lots of them are very clear and excited that they’re voting McCain/Palin. And we’re asking them to spread the word to friends and family.

I was talking with some of my fellow volunteers - one works with teachers and nurses, and a bunch of them (all races: white, black, Hispanic, Pacific Islander...) whispered to her that while they couldn’t admit this at work, they planned to vote for McCain, and that they just couldn’t vote for Obama - way too left. They are expected to support Obama, but can’t and won’t do it.

I think - and pray - we’ll be surprised. The polls are considerably off, I think. They’re not accounting for the Operation Chaos Dems, or the PUMAs for Hillary - all voting McCain/Palin.

Odd - what’s less tolerant than the left?

The Marxist Effect at work.

The combination of the MSM shamelessly transforming itself into an overt propaganda arm of the Obama campaign, the liberally biased weighting of the national polls in Obama's favor, the weakly run McCain campaign, and the pervasive fear of breaking the political correctness code among many Americans, has created an overall false impression of this presidential race.

If the media had done its job to properly vett Obama and McCain evenhandedly, and the pollsters had not biased the weighting of their polls in Obama's favor, and McCain had run a more aggressive campaign, and if folks weren't so doggone scared to stand up and be honest about their choice for President, we'd be seeing the race as it actually exists.

On November 5th, only Freepers and the right blogosphere will understand exactly why Obama failed so miserably in his quest for the presidency. The left-media, the Democrat party, and the useful idiots who vote for them will think we've "stolen" another election.
