It used to be that Freepers and others could create enough buzz about certain issues to shame the MSM into not only reporting but also investigating the story. Those days are gone. Fox doesn’t do much investigative reporting, relying more on commentary and the rest of the MSM simply ignores most potential issues left of center until such time, if ever, that thy have no choice. Even magazines like the Weekly Standard are more ideological commentary than hard-nosed journalism.
Two blatant examples of this are--- having to rely on the National Enquirer for the John Edwards affair and baby story AND the fact PALESTRA.NET a non-professional, college based news source is the only one doing journalistic investigations of ACORN's current activities.
SOMEHOW we need to find a way to fund a pool of professional journalists with the know-how and resources to properly do what 60 Minutes, the NYT and others do on the left.
Image how different the election would be right now if there had been a series of thoroughly and professionally researched stories on all the concerns about Sen. Obama and the truth behind the financial mess.

Grow up and face reality. “Follow the money.” Nowdays everyone - including “conservatives” have a price.
If your thoughts are worthy of a vanity, they’re worthy of spelling “Conservatives” correctly in the headline.
