Crist first gave many Florida felons the right to vote last year. Figuring he hadn't helped the Dems enough, he extends early voting for the Dems. This isn't being a RINO, it's outright party treason. He literally may cost us the election.

Changing the rules in midstream once again. Is there something in the Florida Swamp water? Something that their former attorney General was immune to, but their Surpeme Court was not?
Ignore the rules, ignore the laws, and even ignore the Constitution, all for some Greater Good, that you might perceive.

He extended it from 8 hours/day to 12 hours/day through Friday and extended the combined Sat/Sun from 8 hrs to 12 hrs.

I don’t get it. Why is extending voting hours favorable to Democrats? Are they just allowing Dems to vote?

There are set hours for voting...get your lazy butts out of bed and vote!
I'm a white female in OH and I doubt seriously if any judge would extend the hrs. so I could vote.

With extended hours, 7am to 7pm up from 8 hr days, why does that help the democrats more than republicans? From articles I’ve read it seems they have long lines with up to 90 minutes wait time under the current 8 hour day schedule. Do you think Repubs aren’t taking advantage of the early voting also?

Wait a minute. I don’t get it. How come extending early voting is a Democrat thing? Can’t Republicans vote early too? What’s the problem? And don’t the majority of absentee ballots comprise of GOP votes?
To me, increasing the chances there’s not a clogged mess on election day should help, not hurt. Then again, I voted by mail this year and found it to be nice and stress free, so I could be biased. :-)
Seriously, someone explain to me why this is bad for us.

Crist is a maroon.
As a Floridian, I hope that he has been promised a spot in 0bama’s cabinet for this action so we can get him out of Tallahassee.

Crist has been on a mission to sabotage McCain for weeks now. Guess his feelings were hurt when McCain chose Palin instead of him as his running mate.
I don’t understand, tho, how a governor can unilaterally change election laws. Isn’t that the bailiwick of the legislature? Does it change from state to state?
If early voting is so important to the Obama campaign and their troops so enthusiastic, why did they want the time extended ?

This is a good idea. I have several republican friends who’ve wanted to go early vote for McCain/Palin but turned around and went home after seeing the long lines.

Early voting, motor voting, absentee voting.....crap. I have a new concept:
LATE VOTING! That's right, my friends, now you can vote after the election! Sign up at your friendly neighborhood ACORN office/pregnancy clinic.
Don't like the idea? Well, you must be one of those vote suppressors, then, that everybody talks about but nobody has ever seen.
