Committee Chairman Howard Dean said Monday that he’s looking forward to one party controlling all aspects of government, despite GOP charges that it would be a disastrous Nov. 4 outcome.
“Republicans had a chance to rule. They failed miserably. I think it’s time to give the other party a chance,” Dean said on MSNBC.
Republicans recently warned there would be grave consequences for the country if Democrats were in charge of both chambers of Congress and the White House. At a rally in Ohio, for instance, GOP presidential nominee Sen. John McCain (Ariz.) said he would provide a balance to Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), who plan to increase taxes.
But Dean dismissed the argument, saying: “You cannot trust Republicans with your money. They will borrow and spend, borrow and spend, borrow and spend.”

There is something terribly wrong with politicians who think it is their job to “rule”.
They are supposed to be our representatives — NOT our masters.
That is the problem in Washington in a nutshell....
When he was named head of the DNC, I thought it was a joke and would work wonders for our side. Sure hasn't turned out that way though.
Our country is on the verge of making the biggest mistake in our history, and Howard Dean has played a big role in that (sigh).
Well, give the man credit when he's right. But that doesn't automatically make it true that Democrats will do better.
By the way...will someone tell the McCain campaign to drive home the fact that it hasn't been all bad for 8 years. It was pretty good despite 9/11 until the Dems got into Congress two years ago. *sigh*...too bad media isn't going to report that ever.

McCain should make a campaign ad with Dean saying that the democRATS should be given a change to “rule”.
Yeah, or rather "YEAAAAhhhhhh," he deserves some credit. However, you would also have to give a lot of credit to George W. Bush for the debacle we are going to face.
We are American’s we elect leaders, we have the 2nd Amendment to deal with “Rulers”

The last time the Demonrats were in charge of the Presidency and Congress, we had Jimmy Carter. The time before that brought us the new deal. That is what the current crop of rats consider “good” for America.
