Barack Obama's trips to Hawaii on a chartered Boeing 757 each cost more than twice the price of Sarah Palin's new clothes.
Brad Blakeman, who was in charge of scheduling for President Bush, says a Boeing 757 costs about $20,000 an hour for fuel, crew, and maintenance. Since a trip to Hawaii entails 10 hours of flying time from Chicago, the total cost for each round-trip comes to about $400,000.

And how is this news?
-the “unbiased”, “non partisan” MSM...
is it any less news than Palin’s clothes?
What about the carbon emissions of flying an entire jet to Hawaii for one man?
Obama’s Greek Columns cost more than Palin’s clothes.
This probably hasn’t been in the headlines either (Thanks, PhilDragoo):
Obama spent 5.3 mill for that styrofoam Greek pillar ego bath— 32 times what the RNC spent to buy Sarah some duds—which will be donated to charity—meanwhile Obama throws everything away—even thousands of little American flags—
More Than 5 Million Dollars for Obamas Greek Temple
The Obama campaign, in conjunction with the entire mainstream media, has been attacking Sarah Palin for letting the RNC spend $150,000 on her wardrobe, as she runs for Vice President of the United States.
But the Obama campaign spent 5.3 million dollars for that phony Greek temple in Denvers Invesco Field.
I know it's nitpicky, but that flight would be somewhere between 7 1/2 and 8 hours...and probably thirty minutes less on the homeward (thanks to jet stream) leg.
What about the crew pay, food and lodging.
Oh, you will, but it will be to the effect of "How dare they speak this way about the One. Those evil conservatives, beating him up when he was just going to visit his dying grandmother!! It's just sickening the levels they will stoop to!!
And he could have easily checked up on his typical white grandmother by phone instead. This trip to Hawai’i was NOT primarily to see his ailing grandmother. He waited 4 days before going and then was only with her for, what - a minute? To be more phony than this guy, one would have to be a mannequin.
$400,000 for a brief peek at his typical white granny as she lay recuperating (or dying) in her bed at home? Wow! I’ll bet he’ll be really responsible with taxpayers’ money, huh?
If you go back, I wasn't commenting on that....merely the flight time. No way does it take 10 hours to fly Chicago/Hono....and it'd be about an hour and a half less on the return eastbound trip.
