Happened in LA after the "Rodney King" riots. The locals found that they had to travel several miles to find a grocery store or a bank.

A pity for those innocent folks caught up in it, but justice for the yobs who caused the melee.

The Central and West Wards of Newark were without a grocery store for 25 years after the 1967 riots.
