Even as John McCain and Sarah Palin scramble to close the gap in the final days of the 2008 election, stirrings of a Palin insurgency are complicating the campaign's already-tense internal dynamics.
Four Republicans close to Palin said she has decided increasingly to disregard the advice of the former Bush aides tasked to handle her, creating occasionally tense situations as she travels the country with them. Those Palin supporters, inside the campaign and out, said Palin blames her handlers for a botched rollout and a tarnished public image even as others in McCain's camp blame the pick of the relatively inexperienced Alaska governor, and her public performance, for McCain's decline.
"She's lost confidence in most of the people on the plane," said a senior Republican who speaks to Palin, referring to her campaign jet. He said Palin had begun to "go rogue" in some of her public pronouncements and decisions.
"I think she'd like to go more rogue," he said.

Politico not much different than WaPoo or NYSlimes.

More Leftist FUD.
We’ve LONG needed a real conservative to “go rogue.” GO SARAH!

I would stay far from Bush aides, too.
She is a Maverick, after all.

More of the same. Expect nonstop kitchen sinks being thrown in for good measure from every MSM this next week. They are desperate. Let them all bleed to death.
SPIKE!
Go back to DU and enjoy your Barry fantasies while they last.
Politico .... ignore ....
John F. Harris and Jim VandeHei left The Washington Post to become The Politico's editor-in-chief and executive editor, respectively.
'Nuff said.
John Harris is the fellow the Greta van Susteren interviews ... the fellow is one big twitch.
America fell in love with the real Sarah Palin we saw on September 4th, not the scripted version. She is the only reason this race is still competitive. Maybe it is well past time to let her be herself.
give em hell sarah....
Let Palin be Palin.
It worked for Ronnie, it’ll work for her. She is a decent American with her finger on the pulse of the average American, and the more she speaks AS SHE’D LIKE TO the more positive is the reaction of audiences. If McCain wants to win,
LET PALIN BE PALIN!

The woman got herself elected as governor. I think she can handle herself.
McCain obviously picked her because he saw a lot of himself in her. Someone that was confident in their opinions and who didn’t allow themselves to be pushed around.
This is how McCain has treated the Republican party for years. I actually don’t think McCain has a problem with her standing up for herself. McCain certainly would.
