Gov. Deval Patrick, a national co-chairman of Barack Obama’s presidential campaign, teamed up with the Illinois senator to represent the controversy-plagued activist network ACORN in a 1993 case and secured money for the group in this year’s state budget, the Herald has learned.

Patrick secured a $33,000 grant for the Springfield branch of ACORN’s housing program in April. ...

Currently voters in Massachusetts are required to register at least 20 days before the election. The Massachusetts Senate passed a bill (S 2807) to allow registration on Election day. On 7/29/2008, there was an attempt to amend this bill so that anyone wishing to register and vote on the same day would need to produce some sort of identification to help prevent fraud.

As you would expect, the Democratic majority rejected this amendment. Roll Call vote 08-306.

State Senate Candidate, Sandi Martinez, obtained copies of this and some other very interesting votes of incumbent Senator Susan Fargo. These were passed out at the debates. Of course the newspapers that are getting loads of advertising $$$ from Fargo didn't mention this.

Who do you think is the better candidate? Fargo who voted to encourage fraud by allowing same registration on Election day WITHOUT proper ID or Martinez who is trying to expose what the liberal media is neglecting to mention?

I am just sad that 3 of the states where I've lived are experiencing voter fraud. I think Illinois and Massachusetts are lost causes. But Ohio and Colorado are probably still in the toss-up category. Work hard Ohio and Colorado!

Why would anyone try to rig the election in MA. Its not like there has been a contested election above dog catcher in this state in years.

*snort* Sadly, true. We were thrilled when Pres. Bush got 37% of the popular vote here! I put a bumper sticker on my car that read, "37%r".

Frankly, I hope that many of the white people who voted for Deval Patrick out of some sense of guilt will have assuaged that, and can be convinced NOT to vote for Obama. It remains to be seen, but I know that McCain will not win here in MA, though I'm talking him up every chance I get. I'm just praying some of the close states will pull it out for him, and I believe he can win!

Springfield...

The "City of Homes", The original home of Indian Motorcycles, The Gee-Bee Racing Aircraft, Smith and Wesson and a city that staged quite a comeback in the late 70's and 80's.

Political Corruption took City Hall to a State takeover and now It's Downtown is an Absolute SH!+Ho!e.

And ACORN has a presence.... Why Am I not surprised....

Since we’re talking the People’s Democratic Republic of Massachusetts, who cares? Its wholly owned by the Democrats, anyway.

We're in the process of remodeling our home so that we can get it on the market either next Spring or in the Summer. We're planning to move back home to MS, after being away for over 30 years.
