Early Vote Tallies in Colorado hold promise for McCain

Nationwide, most polls show John McCain outperforming his Party ID in the Range of 2-4%. This fact is primarily due to a slight edge with independents along with more strength among Republicans than Obama enjoys with Democrats. The early vote stats, along with the active registered voters stats in Colorado are very revealing.

1. Inspite of Democrats having a 26,000 vote edge in the number of Mail In Ballots requested (580240-D to 554485-R) Republicans lead by 2500 in the number of ballots actually returned thus far (184475-D to 186956-R). Democrats lead in the number of actual in person early votes by 34488-27851. 22513 Independent in person early votes have been recorded and 108,248 mail in ballots from independents have been received. All in all, the Democrats have only a 3100 vote edge in thus far in the early vote.

2. Although Dems have a 3100 vote edge in overall early voting, more of their voters have requested mail in ballots. The result is that Republicans have 16000 registered voter advantage that is available to turnout on election day.

3. In overall active registrations, Dems have a 10,000 registered voter advantage 890,118 to 880,533. Obama's strategy is hypothecated on huge voter ID advantages and huge turnout. So far, Obama hasn't gained an edge, and Republicans have a much better reputation for actually showing up on the day that counts.

All the statistics are listed at the link, feel free to break down and aupine. With Obama pulling 88% of Dems and McCain pulling 92% of Republicans, he has a 4% lead thus far among the Party ID ballots. Even if McCain can eek out a 2-4% edge with Independents, he should be in the drivers seat in Colorado.

Man, if you ask the media they’ll tell you Obama has it locked up already. In fact, they no longer consider Colorado a battleground State. *snicker*

my husband says that McCain is going to win. He listens to Rush every day. The polls LIE.

I’m kind of taking a leap of faith. The Good God wouldn’t do this to us? would he?

We do it to ourselves. The question is, will God save us from ourselves?

“The Good God wouldn’t do this to us? would he?”

God doesn’t vote, we do. The Scriptures teach us to pray for those in authority (I Tim. 2:2). When this passage was written, the citizenry lived under the tyranny of Rome. America has a republican form of government. Under this form of government, the authority rests with the citizens who then give it to representatives. In just a few days, the American people will “release” their authority and give it to elected officials on the local, state, and national levels.

Pray that we and our fellow citizens will choose wisely for we will have to live with the consequences of our choices.

Not everything is up to the good God. That’s why we prepare.

It’s not a battleground state anymore. Obama should move on out of there and take Arizona instead.

This data just lists the voters party not how they voted?
For example it is whatever 580,000 Dem votes - these are just votes by people registered as Dems not Obama votes?

My guess is quite a few of those Dems are not voting for Obama. PUMAs and others. My guess is most Repubs are voting McCain.

Arizona should be very safe for McCain. We were discussing here last night why Obama may lose NM. The MSM thinks NM is in the bag for Obama because of Richardson but word on the ground says that may not be the case.

It would be sweet of McCain gets CO, NM and NV.

that is correct. But the overall theory that we are riding on is that a higher percentage of R’s vote for McCain than D’s do for Obama (due to PUMA, and conservative Dems not wanting to go there) Then if McCain can get a slight win or break even with Independents, there is your victory.
