Is Barack Obama the "promised warrior" coming to help the Hidden Imam of Shiite Muslims conquer the world?

The question has made the rounds in Iran since last month, when a pro-government Web site published a Hadith (or tradition) from a Shiite text of the 17th century. The tradition comes from Bahar al-Anvar (meaning Oceans of Light) by Mullah Majlisi, a magnum opus in 132 volumes and the basis of modern Shiite Islam.

According to the tradition, Imam Ali Ibn Abi-Talib (the prophet's cousin and son-in-law) prophesied that at the End of Times and just before the return of the Mahdi, the Ultimate Saviour, a "tall black man will assume the reins of government in the West." Commanding "the strongest army on earth," the new ruler in the West will carry "a clear sign" from the third imam, whose name was Hussein Ibn Ali. The tradition concludes: "Shiites should have no doubt that he is with us."

In a curious coincidence Obama's first and second names--Barack Hussein--mean "the blessing of Hussein" in Arabic and Persian. His family name, Obama, written in the Persian alphabet, reads O Ba Ma, which means "he is with us," the magic formula in Majlisi's tradition.

Mystical reasons aside, the Khomeinist establishment sees Obama's rise as another sign of the West's decline and the triumph of Islam. Obama's promise to seek unconditional talks with the Islamic Republic is cited as a sign that the U.S. is ready to admit defeat. Obama's position could mean abandoning three resolutions passed by the United Nations Security Council setting conditions that Iran should meet to avoid sanctions. Seeking unconditional talks with the Khomeinists also means an admission of moral equivalence between the U.S. and the Islamic Republic.

You would have to listen to Walid Shoebat. He does a marvelous job of it. It’s only very recently that he’s been able to speak about these things, as most of the previous times he’s spoken, those topics have been “off limits” (according to what he said...).

There is a new book coming out that may be better (for studying what he’s saying). Look up info on him and see what you can find out about his new book. I don’t think it’s out yet (but it may be).

I don’t think Walid Shoebat has anything to say about Obama. I hope you weren’t referring to Obama in light of the Mahdi...

No... I thought you did.

...except that “white is black” and “black is white” — between the Christianity and Islam. In other words, the Mahdi is the Antichrist (which is very plausible).

I guess that was kinda cryptic..., sorry.

What I meant was that the prophecies are the reverse of each other, in that good is bad and bad is good (hence the white is black and black is white comment). So, where the Mahdi is supposed to be “good” — he is actually “bad”. And where Israel (and Jews) are to be destroyed, they are really “saved” (at the coming of Christ).

But, aside from the “reversal” of each other, they are the same prophecies.

Then i understood you correctly to begin with.

The opening post of this thread points to islamic prophesy which suggests that Obama is this Mahdi... Good guy for Islam. So the reversal would suggest that he is the Anti-Christ.

Personally, I don’t see Obama fitting the bill. According to biblical prophecy, he is of the wrong descent, and in the wrong region of the world to bring about the false peace treaty which begins the tribulation period.
Besides... if his failure to bring about a campaign which unifies the races in the US has resulted in just the opposite, how could anyone believe he is capable of negotiating a treaty between Israel and the Palestinians?

Now... my point was this... if there is no direct biblical prophecy which describes Obama to a T (which there is not), then a competing religious prophecy which does is destined to be proven wrong.

This is why i’m curious about the details of the Islamic prophesy... Does it fit our current situation to a T? Does it clearly foretell the results of this election going to Obama? If so, then the opposite must be true.
