Which is true. But we live in a time when men lie to gain an advantage and people hold nothing sacred, not even marriage. Which is why the Left opposes traditional marriage because it opposes any rules that limits people's license to do as they please.

They may want to be “A” and “B” but I prefer being a husband and having a wife.

The goal is the distruction of marriage and the family unit.

I don’t agree Maria has this in mind. Her parents have been married forever. Her brothers have been married awhile and of course Maria and Arnold have been married over 20. I am impressed with this part of the Kennedy family because not one of the people in the Sargeant family has been divorced. That is one issue I am totally against...divorce. I am making an exception with McCain and voting for a divorcee because of how horrible Obama is in everything else. But the Obama’s have been married only one time which is a good thing.

I thought gay marriage is legal in Ca.
Doesn’t matter what the outcome of Prop 8, the 9th circuit court will shoot it down in flames if it passes.

So do most people. California's first family doesn't have a lick of common sense on marriage. I'll take Rick Warren's endorsement of Prop. 8 over their boilerplate liberal yadda yadda yadda yadda pandering to the Gay Lobby any day.

A court ruling in defiance of the will of 61% of Californians doesn't make it legal. And its not a federal issue yet, thank Heaven.

Rightfully they have excommunicated themselves by supporting the pro-death democrat party.

Yeah, sort of like "Double Secret Probation".

Oh well, as long as they can still receive Communion, perhaps from the Cardinal himself?

“I believe in people’s right to choose a partner that they love, and that’s a decision that I have come to, and I have felt that way for a long time.”

And who is to say that gays can’t choose their partners if Proposition 8 passes? They’re still free to commit themselves to one another in marriage if they want. They just won’t have the state recognizing it, and nor will they be tossed all the goodies conferred in marriage.

And why should they be? They contribute nothing special back to society. No children. No future future workers or tax payers. If anything, they might steal a bisexual away from a heterosexual relationship and create fewer.

Why am I supposed to be impressed by gay relationships? I’m not. Sorry. I’ve been into dozens of gay bars/bookstores/coffee shops with a gay roommate. I’ve seen far more depravity, cheating, and week-long relationships than I’ve seen anything wholesome. And we’ve seen how well those gay relationships hold up (poorly) and how rarely they occur in Europe.

So why should I care about sewing the seeds of destruction in heterosexaul relationships. Why should I have Johnny’s parents being forced to tell him, “Well, son, if you choose to marry a girl, you can have children.” It dampens the inevitability of child-rearing in heterosexual relationships, and that may be the biggest crime of all.

“I am impressed with this part of the Kennedy family because not one of the people in the Sargeant family has been divorced”

Why divorce when you can just have an affair? They keep their fortune this way.

I fundamentally agree with you, but given the daliances of the Kennedy’s, I’m not exactly impressed with them.

I don't want to see our children taught that marriage is simply an optional lifestyle choice as opposed to being God's blueprint for human happiness and I don't want to see our children taught that the homosexual lifestyle is morally equivalent to and as natural as the heterosexual norm. On both grounds, I support Prop. 8. Our children's values are too important to be left in the hands of power hungry politicians and manipulative liberal educrats.

Arnold and Maria were shacked up for years before they got married. Funny thing, no kids while they were shacked up, but they suddenly recovered their fertility.

Great pro-abortion “Catholics.”

I have also had gay housemates. I have an open mind, and I have met and worked closely with a good many homosexuals. The vast majority, particularly men, are NOT in monogamous relationships.

Even as part of a 'couple,' cheating outside the relationship is commonplace. Their lives REVOLVE around their sexual escapades. They are often more important than career, friendship, family, and religion. It seems being Gay IS their religion.

Well I am definitely not going to slander someone so I can't comment on your egregious statements. Do you have proof of this? How do we know that Maria wasn't a virgin when she married? You seem to know more about his than I do. Please post some proof.

Slander? Give me a break. They were public personalities at the time, and they made no secret whatsoever of being shacked up.

Maria Shriver was born in Illinois and moved to California. I was born in California and left. Both for more or less the same reasons.

Title: CCC Search Result - Paragraph # 2357
Keywords: -None-
Description: -None-
Body: 7 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity, tradition has always declared that "homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered." They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved

I wonder if her Father, the last pro-life Democrat on presidential ticket, agrees.

I don't see what his being pro-life has to do with her stand on this issue. The unborn do not naturally even exist in a homosexual coupling.

I confess I thought you called him the last pro-life Democrat, period. They're such a very rare breed I can only think of one other off hand, Kate Mulgrew.
