John McCain has read the riot act to members of his own campaign staff for their defeatist attitude, making clear that they must join him in fighting all out to win the presidential election.
Mr McCain has now rolled out a defiant new stump speech in Colorado, where he roused a 5,000 strong crowd with a call to arms, making clear that if he is to go down, he will go down fighting.

Baghdad Bob had an excuse - there was a boot on his neck.
What's AP's excuse?
Well, when you think about the immense momentum in the Democrats’ favor this year, and the other myriad factors going against McCain, you cannot help but admit that—despite some horrible tactical errors—you have to hand it to John McCain for being within striking range of victory at this point. Theoretically, Hussein should be about 20 points up.
Seriously, the fact that McCain even has a chance of winning now(and he does) speaks volumes not only for the grievous misgivings the electorate has about Hussein, but also about the mystrerious nine lives and political mojo of McCain.
My belief is that his pick of Sarah Palin is what has kept him in this race, and what will ultimately put him over the top with the turnout of women voters, God willing!

Opera singer, you say?

As shameless socialists, they are also in the tank for the Obama. Europe really wants to see the Obama win so that America will be a defeated nation in every sense of the word. They hate us b/c we are a free and prosperous nation while they (speaking generally, of course) embrace their bankrupt nanny states in the hopes that they will be taken care of all their lives by the state. Cowardly sniveling at the Guardian if you ask me.
“Good for you McCain!!! Kick their whiny asses!!! “
...just had a visual of McCain as Patton putting the smack down on those whiners.
He dropped bombs.
That’s the affirmative way to state it.
He’s a fighter? He used to be. But his aides are probably very frustrated at his “let’s play nice” routine. A fighter should be out there swinging with everything he’s got. This is a match that will be won on points. There will be no K.O. I’m afraid McCain may be too far behind and coming out jabbing in the 10th round may bloody Obama’s nose, but it won’t knock him out.
Just the way I see it.
