John McCain has read the riot act to members of his own campaign staff for their defeatist attitude, making clear that they must join him in fighting all out to win the presidential election.

Mr McCain has now rolled out a defiant new stump speech in Colorado, where he roused a 5,000 strong crowd with a call to arms, making clear that if he is to go down, he will go down fighting.

At this point, some of John McCain's handlers are trying to get their resumes out for their next job. That's how it happens, this is how it goes. It has nothing to do with their candidate, per se. Some in John McCain's campaign core are probably doing a sales job/pitch elsewhere in order to land their next job. Obviously, the author of the above article has been in contact with those or a person of the latter pursuit.

Again, it has little to do with whether or not the campaigner believes John McCain is going to win.

in addition John and Sarah are closing the gap. Tonight Zogby confirms this.

Absolutely. McCain and Palin make up 6.5 points in ONE DAY! Obama is flailing and the people are beginning to respond to his obvious lunatic communist tendancies. Also, I saw at the Bill O’Reilly website that FOX how has McCain leading in “lock” states 189-183. The people are beginning to take their country back!

What’s with all these crap Brit articles with all this misinformation in them?

British journalism has even less integrity than the American counterpart, if that's even possible

He needs to lose his temper with the MSM first, then his RINO aides second.

There's no sense spraying for roaches if you're just gonna leave rotting food around the kitchen.

It appears that the majority of his campaign staff are Obama plants.

I hope McCain read the most recent Mark Steyn column, then made his staff read it. You know who’ll be blamed if Obama wins and America suffers the inevitable, don’t you? Certainly not dems/Libs/MSM. No, it’ll be America’s fault. Our selfishness, our ‘malaise’. Now where have we heard that before. God help us.

"What's with all these crap Brit articles with all this misinformation in them?"

Brit or American media....all part of the world-wide socialist network.

British socialists are by far the most insidious. A lot of them immigrated to this country during the thirties and the FDR years. They infested academia, think tanks, politics, the judiciary and the media......many becoming personages of some note. Their legacy continues to this day.

The Brit media doesn't "conspire" with their fellow socialist journalists in this or any other country. They know exactly what to write on their own, in this case, pointing out strife within the McCain campaign as a major split.

British media have their socialist and Labour Party noses in our political campaigns all the time and will continue to do so till they believe the world has achieved a socialist/communist Utopia.

Mors lies from the media. Have you noticed the theme? The McCain camp is divided and fighting with each other because they are losing.

More propaganda garbage from Obama and his leftist media.

I like this in a candidate. Every now and then people who are not 100% into a cause that feeds them need a reality check.

Does anybody have any information on the Colorado stump speech?

I am especially interested in the words, "call to arms". I cannot imagine McCain leading anyone to violence, but I can take this as a metaphor for "fight the good fight at the voting booth". The wording here seems to be selected to rile up the UK folks, who of course, have had their "arms" severed many years ago.

Earlier this week, the press was in a tizzy because Sarah Palin was rejecting the advice of some of the former Bush aides on staff.

Seeing as how former Bush aide Scott McClellan endorse Obama, she is right to disregard their bad advice.

And there are Obama Democrats on McCain’s staff as well. Some at least were honest enough to move over to the Obama campaign after the GOP nomination had been secured.

There has been hijacking of the GOP nomination and campaign. It is among the dirtiest trick of campaiging there is.

Name names, who are these people? IF McCain read the riot act note the choice of words here, why is it not on youtube or some secret tape... I do not believe this new selection of choice words to demoralize.

“making clear that if he is to go down, he will go down fighting.”

I’d prefer to hear him say he intends to win. Going down fighting is still going down.

Welcome to Free Republic.

I’d venture a guess that most of DO know that Rick Davis worked at a firm that lobbied for Fan/Fred. We’re surpsingly well-informed here at Free Republic, and also have the ability to dig a little deeper.

We know that most politicians have had some contact with Fan/Fred, either personally or via staff members.

We’ve also studied at length, the degree of involvement between Obama and Fannie Freddie- and it is so overiding, so much greater in magnitude than anything on McCain’s staff that it’s laughable to compare.

But don’t stop there- keep trying.
