WASHINGTON (Legal Newsline)-The former deputy Pennsylvania attorney general who challenged Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama's qualifications to be president has appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Lafayette Hill, Pa.-based attorney Philip Berg, a self-described "moderate to liberal" Democrat who supported Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign, alleged that the Illinois senator is not a U.S. citizen and therefore ineligible for the presidency.
He had his lawsuit rejected Friday by U.S. District Judge Richard Barclay Surrick of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Story was already in broken news,
Obama is just doing the job that U.S. citizens won’t do.
What’s wrong with being absolutely sure a candidate is eligible? If he evades, there is no choice but to conclude there is a deception underway. If his Party is helping him, its collusion. If he is ineligible, by the US Constitution, he is spitting on the foundation document of our Country.
If he gets in can we call him the Undocumented President?
FINALLY! This story is gaining legs.
If their is nothing to hide, why not release his vault COLB?
Yup, he'd be my choice for President.
I am still trying to understand why the original was supposedly thoroughly inspected by factcheck.org, who said it was real. Why not show it to the court and end it?
I think if he wins we may have little recourse. If a subpoena is required to obtain his documents, wouldn't it have to originate in a Democratically controlled Senate committee?
Here’s one way to note the bias of the media: They call it a citizenship question when it’s an eligibility question based upon whether he’s natural born. No one doubts he’s a citizen, just whether he’s natural born per the constitutional rules.
The harm of disregarding the constitution is “too vague and its effects too attenuated....”
I cannot believe my ears, this guy went to law school? And who appointed him? The courts in this country are definitely a free for all.
Are you referring to the pictures at the site?
In fact there is a question of his citizenship. If he ever was a citizen of the US, it may have evaporated when he resided in INdonesia. That is the second question, the first being "was he born in Hawaii or not".
The essence of having a “natural born’ president written into the U.S, Constitution is loyalty to the nation.
All the reasons you cite in your post makes Obama not.
Under the Patriot Act, and how Joe the Plumber's privacy has been invaded, would he be able to force FR to turn over our personal info to the govt? He agreed to force ISP's to turn over records; I don't know if it's separate legislation or an addendum to the PA. Curious minds want to know. It's making me afraid to post here.
Actually I believe there is a question out there regarding his citizenship of Indonesia! Apparently when he travelled to Pakistan in his college days he travelled under an Indonesian passport. Indonesia does not allow dual citizenship. There is no record of Obama renouncing his citizenship of Indonesia.
Obama has to be in a full panic mode right now ...
This is starting to get interesting.
For the longest time, I’ve kinda rolled my eyes at the birth certificate question. I think its real and wishful thinking that he faked it.
But. Why?..Why fight this all the way to the Supreme Court?
Why doesn’t The Obama just have one of his acolytes deliver to whatever court is hearing the case, the birth certificate and just shut the whole thing down (and in the process make Berg look like an idiot)?
Seems to me for The Obama to fight against showing his birth certificate all the way to the Supreme Court..maybe there is something.
Heck, I had to show my birth certificate to my employer when I joined my company to prove my citizenship. Why should the job of President be held to a less standard?
escalate this issue to the top. Get it out front in the system and the news. let everyone know about it
The case didn’t go to the Supreme Court. The idiot 9/11 Truther Berg requested that it go to the Supreme Court. And the Supreme Court will say: Forget it.
