Obama: McCain brings out strangest twist of this campaign

The McCain campaign argues that Obama's tax increases on wealthy Americans will hurt small business owners and cost Americans jobs. The campaign released a statement commenting on an Obama ad called "Defining Moment" where he promises tax relief for anyone making under $200,000 per year.
""If Barack Obama is elected President, this may be considered the first in a series of 'defining moments' more commonly called job-killing tax increases," Tucker Bounds, spokesman McCain-Palin said.
A new CNN /Time poll shows the two men tied in Nevada at 47 percent. Both candidates have identified Nevada as an important battleground state making frequent stops.
Saturday marked Obama's 19th stop in the Silver State.

This can’t be. David Assholerod said Nevada was in the bag!
I wonder if they’re confusing this with the Politico poll?
In any event, McCain is clearly polling better in NV than CO, which strikes me as odd.
Very encouraging.
In light of the state polls, it still seems that Obama can’t put McCain away. Perhaps we are seeing the effect of McCain/RNC raising their ad ratio from 10:1 to 2:1.
This whole election is waaaaaay beyond odd.
Pollsters are in for the shock of their lives.
Nothing would surprise me in the polls we are seeing from national pollsters!
It seems to me that the western states should all be for McCain if they want to keep their guns.
Since it’s most likely CNN/TIME over polled Dems their silly poll, you can chalk up Nevada for McCain/Palin.
I disagree.
Colorado has historically been more Republican than NV. I guess times are changing.
I disagree
We have gotten swamped by transplants from California.
So now it’s $200000.00 and under who will be getting the tax cut. It changes weekly, so by the time he gets into office it will be those under $25000.00 and a tax hike for those over $25K.
Yea, If NV goes McCain so will Colorado.
There’s no recent historical precedent for that. If only one of these two states goes Dem, it should be NV.
Exactly. That’s why I said, if McCain is doing ok in NV, he should be ok in CO.
Reality is that the top 5% of earners begins at $175,000, so the Obama propaganda putsch is making “adjustments” to their rhetoric.
It's a moot point anyway, because Obama has zero intention of providing tax relief for anyone, save those who pay no federal income tax, perhaps.
Any FReepers working on the campaign in Vegas, drop me a line.

I’m sorry. You did say McCain. I read [gasp!] “Obama”. I am now going to rip off body hair with duct tape as a punishment for my sins.
