Even NPR had a segment maybe 10-15 years ago in which they talked
with telephone soliciters at some call-centers for charities.

The common theme was:
1. "Southerners" were generally the most generous donors
to charities. Even from lower socioeconomic zip-code areas.
2. Folks in "The Northeast" were money-grubbing skinflints and
were MUCH less likely to give.'
