I have been voting for over 35 years and have NEVER, EVER ANSWERED ANY POLL.
Not face to face, not phone NONE.

I was polled twice. Once during the Clinton/Dole election and once during the Bush/Kerry election.
The first one seemed straight up so I answered the entire survey truthfully.
The other one was an obvious “push-poll” which asked questions from a decidedly left perspective. I cut them off after the third question.
Each election cycle I answer one poll. I tell them exactly what I think, or as close as I can come to that while keeping my answers 'G' rated.

Three of the last four broke the connection before I think the poll was over. Go figure.

Last month I was poled about Oregon politics. I was hesitant to participate as most questions are biased and written to ascertain their desired conclusions. Of course they wanted to know what race I was and I told them I was American. He was not satisfied and eventually I lied to him and told him I was black. I pretty much lied from that point on and messed with him.
