5 Reasons Why McCain/Palin Can Still Win Michigan (Vanity)

Even though the McCain Campaign has pulled out of Michigan, I think they can still win the State on November 4. Here are 5 Resons why I believe MI can be in the GOP column on Election Night:

#1. 80% of Michigan's black population lives in the City of Detroit. The rest of the State is predominantly White folks who have loathed every Black Mayor Detroit has had going back to the days of Coleman Young. Detroit and the suburbs have a long history of racial tension. How many of you are old enough to remember Detroit burning in 1967?

#2. There are many Southern folks who live in Michigan. They came up from the South to work in the auto factories. They will definitely insure that the Bradley Effect of 6%(+) will kick in on Election Day.

#3. The people of Michigan are outraged that their Democratic Governor, Jenny "I wanna be Marilyn Monroe" Granholm, was reelected in '06 when the State was in economic turmoil at the time. Since then, Michigan has the dubious honor of having the second worst economy in the nation, and they blame Jenny, not the Bush White House and they want to "punish" the Democrats.

#4. In northern MI and in the upper peninsula, there are a gazillion hunters and outdoorsmen who, like Pennsylvanians, cling to their God and guns and they do not like B. Hussein.

#5. There is a very strong Evangelical and Catholic presence in Michigan. The Evangelicals who stayed home in '04 (when Kerry just barely defeated Bush in the State) and '06 will not stay home this year.

Well, that's it. Every Presidential Election year, Michigan get closer and closer to being a Red State. This year, even though McCain has pulled out of the State, I think "I'm seeing Red".

Sorry, MI got what it voted for and deserves.

No, we most assuredly do not deserve this.

Well, no one but Michiganders voted her into office ... I believe we get the government we deserve .. and if Obama is elected POTUS, that’s what we as a country deserve. We can have 50, or is it 57, Michigans.

The western counties in the UP are in the central time zone, FYI.

Detroit has a history of waiting until late into the night to post their results. Then, the results show 90 - 99% Democrat...whatever it takes to get enough...

I want very much for McCain to win in Michigan. I seriously doubt it will happen, though...

If it is after the election, he will be forced to step down and Biden will become President.
