You should have gotten a tool with the disposal that looks like an allen wrench that fits in the bottom (underneath) the disposal. Unplug the machine so you cannot turn it on and put the wrench in the bottom and wiggle it back and forth. It will then free up the spoon. Make sure you have the wrench out of the bottom before applying power.
Thank for the hints!! Good idea about the breaker..,...I don’t have ‘the actual tool’ for the disposal, but I have alan wrenches...hopefully one will fit...or maybe Home depot sells the tool......I’m scared about this one....I am picturing blades shooting at me...lol!!
