Actually, the “dress” is a kuspuk. It is a cloth “parka” that is big enough to wear over a fur parka. Eskimo women wear them to keep their fur parkas clean. It’s not really a dress, it’s more like a smock or a bib apron. Kuspuks can be as plain or as fancy as desired. They are distinguised from parkas by the skirt.
