Obama: ... and I think that is going to be happening. We cant ignore it. I think whether or not my children or your children will have to struggle with these same issues depends on what we do, and whether we take some mutual responsibility for bridging the divisions that exist right now. And I really want to emphasize the word responsibility. I think that whether you are a white executive living out in the suburbs, who doesnt want to pay taxes to inner-city children for them to go to school, or youre an inner-city child who doesnt want to take responsibility for keeping your street safe and clean, both of those groups have to take some responsibility if were going to get beyond the kinds of divisions that we face right now Maybe it's me, but I find those "hypotheticals" pretty extreme.

Did anybody notice Obama seems to want the inner city children to keep the streets safe and clean?
“or youre an inner-city child who doesnt want to take responsibility for keeping your street safe and clean,”

That’s why the entire interview link was posted. Saying white people don't want to help black kids is an evil statement. I don't care if he then says black kids should keep their streets clean. Where's the hate there??? We have to stop beating each other up. NO LIBERAL OR NEWSROOM in America would have linked to the entire interview if McCain said Black people don't want any of their taxes to help white kids!!!
