The question regarding Barack Obamas eligibility to run for President based on questions regarding his status as natural born United States citizen has reached the Hawaiian Supreme Court. Illinois journalist and Democrat politician, Andy Martin, has asked the Hawaiian Supreme Court to entertain an emergency writ expediting the release of Senator Barack Obamas birth records.
For months there has been speculation about Baracks birth status among other issues associated with his birth certificate. This has been helped along by the campaigns reluctance to produce uncontestable records of the Senators birth and status as a natural born citizen of the United States. When the Obama campaign did release a scan of Obamas birth certificate its noticeable lack of an embossed seal among other inconsistencies with proper Hawaiian birth certificates simply fueled the speculation of critics.
The Hawaiian Supreme Court now has the opportunity to answer these questions once and for all.
There has been no shortage of theater surrounding Andy Martins actions at the Supreme Court. In the same week that the request was made by Mr. Martin, Associate Justice Steven Levinson announced his surprise retirement from states highest court. While he explained his actions by saying that his batteries needed recharging, court watchers are theorizing on the significance of the move and what it may be telegraphing in regards to the Martin request to open Baracks birth records. Justice Levinson will be serving until the end of the year.
Presidential candidate Barack Obama has also indirectly interjected himself into the situation. During the same week that Mr. Martins request was made to the Hawaiian Supreme court, Barack is suspending his campaign for a few days in order to visit his sick grandmother in Hawaii. Unnamed sources claim that he is bringing along a team of lawyers on this visit to an ailing relative. The Obama campaign has not yet answered our query regarding whether Barack has brought a legal team with him to Hawaii.
A decision by the Hawaiian Supreme Court is expected before the election. We will report on that decision when the high court makes its ruling.
Normally, you are right. But the requirement for the time Obama was born was that if one parent was a citizen and one wasn’t (as Obama Sr), then the citizen must have lived in the US for at least 10 years, five of which over the age of 16. She was 18 when Obama was born.
Also, if Hawaii allows for Birth certificates to be issued later on if the child was born outside Hawaii and the parent was a Hawaii resident for at least a year prior to the birth. Now if it would show the place of birth, that’s another issue.
Now we know why he rushed off to see grandma 2 weeks after she broke her hip.
You flatterer!
;)
NO
"...that we dont know who this guy is?"
Correct.
They are under orders to not arrest KNOWN illegals, why would they bother with a questionable one?
Deport him back to Kenya.
Let him tell the Muslims there he is a Christian.
The Muslims backed up his cousin when he ran there and Bambi went right along with it.
This poor New Media Journal needs a serious editor. They’ve even got the author’s first name as “Brain.”
He’s bringing the lawyers to see grandma just to make sure her “living will” is in order so he’ll know when to pull the plug.
Thanks. WHere are these regulations spelled out? I thought the term ‘natural born’ was pretty much undefined.
OR..
The long form BC lists Obama religion as a MUSLIM... since he said he is not a MUSLIM it would make him a liar.... Saying that you converted to Christianity would have been the smartest move but since he didn’t its too late now..
OBAMA born a MUSLIM...
Yup!
And blacks have the most abortions. Now Obama wants infanticide to be no big deal.
Not quite swatted down -- at least not the decision I read last night.
Martin filed (for?) a "writ of mandamus", which is basically an order for a government agency/official to act. In this case, it was a demand/request for action before the election. That was turned down.
However, if I read it correctly, there is still a hearing scheduled for 11/07/2008. That will apparently go on as scheduled.
If I can find the link to it again, I'll post it.
Well, that fills my “morbid thought quota” for this morning.
Thanks.
:)
In politics, there are NO coincidences.............
YOU speak the truth!
Only problem with this statement is that he hasn't left for Hawaii yet. He's doing a rally in PA this morning.
My big question is, if his grandmother is gravely ill, why aren't his wife and daughters going with him? One would think that Michelle would like the opportunity to see her dying grandmother-in-law. The girls should also have the opportunity to see their great-grandmother before she passes...
They should make a movie about this guy - he’s a “catch me if you can” styled nutball hiding in plain sight. Reading his wiki was a real shocker. Seems like he’s lived 10 lives; most of them a trainwreck.

So if he doesn’t get thrown off the ballot because it turns out he’s not a natural born citizen, then that opens up the field for the Governator to run too.
Does anyone have a cite for this? I'd like to be able to point to an actual link to the info.
Aren't the lawyers there because they're concerned about Baraq's Granny? /sarc
LOL! "Asking the Hawaiian Supreme Court" is not the same as "reaching the Hawaiian Supreme Court."
