WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Democrat Barack Obama's lead over Republican rival John McCain has grown to 12 points in the U.S. presidential race, with crucial independent and women voters increasingly moving to his side, according to a Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby poll released on Thursday.
With less than two weeks before the November 4 election, Obama leads McCain 52 percent to 40 percent among likely voters in the latest three-day tracking poll, which had a margin of error of 2.9 points.
Obama has made steady gains over the last four days and has tripled his lead on McCain in the past week of polling.

Reuters forgot to mention that Zogby's "poll" showed more & more conservatives moving towards Obama. I guess even Reuters knew how absurd this sounded.

I think they’re just making up numbers, they’re all over the board.
The Polls have become a contest to see who can become the highest bidder for Zero.
And to skew the RCP averages to show a steady gain for the “One” who calms the water.
The only time I have seen publicly-released polls be accurate was in the 2006 elections.
If, by chance, they are accurate again, we may have a trend, but unless and until that happens, I am very dubious about it.
All I can tell you is
Vote yourself, and
take others to vote. It's not over 'till it's over.
Somebody made a thread earlier that said ‘ I can’t wait to see the next Zogby poll’ and I posted fake results that showed Obama up 14. LOL!

You have Obama up by 12 with under 2 weeks to go and the race is NOT over?
How confident can this man be about his numbers?

In that article Zogby says that he is confident in his sampling methods.
He’s confident that Hussein will win by 12? That’s ridiculous. Even if Hussein wins, it won’t be near 12.
Aw shucks! Why have elections any more! Just decide who our leaders are by running public opinion polls. They pretty much do in the long run any way you slice it.

The crash of oil prices is BIG news the media is trying to cover up.
Zogby had this race at two (2) just five days ago. Think about that for a second.
Basically it was all tied up (within margin). And now it’s a blowout at 12. This is quickly turning into a joke. No reliable poll would EVER move that much in such a short period of time with no game-chaning news.
And Zogby knows it , hence his editorial “This is not over.” HE’s in CYA mode.
He may have some rogue pollsters and statiticians working for him.
Yes, that is exactly what they are meant to do-skew the RCP average.
