I believe that the vast majority of "liberals" in this country are much like my step-mother and aunt. Both are well meaning, and simply believe what they read in the newspapers (KC Red Star for my aunt, NY Slimes for my step-mother), magazines (Time and Newsweek), and MSM TV news (CBS and NBC).
They aren't interested in looking past their sources, since they don't believe that the media is biased.
But when I did ask my aunt about the last time she read or saw anything good that President Bush had done, she thought about it for a while, and said that she couldn't recall ever reading or seeing anything good that he had done in the news. I asked her if it didn't seem a bit unusual that in nearly 8 years he hadn't done anything useful or good? She said that she must have just missed or forgotten them.
But the leadership is definately "Anti-American," at least in the traditional respect. They want to reform our Constitutional Republic into a socialist, or even communist, democratic oligarchy.
