There is a saying in Texas:

“One Riot, One Ranger.”

History is filled with accounts of legendary Texas Rangers
who brought law and order to towns torn by blood feuds,
and Rangers who fought bravely against bands of outlaws
and Indian war parties to protect the citizens of Texas.
Time and again, they proved that one person in the right
could triumph over even the greatest odds.

Now I know why there is a MLB team by the name of the “Texas Rangers”, because of the legendary law enforcement folks who enforced the law in TX. Thanks for the history lesson.

Did some internet searching and found out that there is even a Hall of Fame and Museum that honors the Texas Rangers which are still around to this day. Have bookmarked the website, which is located in Waco, TX.

Sorry, pardner, y'all borrowed that line from the Pennsylvania State Police. There is statue of a 19-teens vintage Trooper on horseback with a seven foot baton on the grounds of the Academy with the inscription "One Riot, One Statie". Since PSP is the oldest state agency in the nation...
