Why I Think Obama is Going to Hawaii

Remember all the uproar last summer over the authenticity of the digital copy of Obama's certificate of live birth (COLB) posted on Kos and then on Fightthesmears.com? Remember how just around that time, he suddenly decided to take a family vacation in Hawaii. Remember how he spent a single hour with "tutu" at her apartment and how the press were kept at arms length? Remember how Michelle and the kids were not present? Remember how after his Hawaiian vacation, a hard copy of his COLB was suddenly made available to factcheck.org, and them alone? Remember that factcheck is funded by the same foundation that funded Obama's and Ayers' work on the Woods Foundation and CAC?
Could this be what happened in August? Perhaps his sister Maya, who cares for their grandmother, left a copy of her COLB for Obama to take with him after his visit. Perhaps it was then physically altered and presented briefly to the two credulous and possibly (or likely) biased reporters at factcheck. Now, we have numerous lawsuits filed demanding that he produce his original birth certificate. My guess is that he hasn't got one, or if he does have one, he doesn't want us to see it for some reason, so he is going to Hawaii to obtain something that he can use in lieu of the original.
The polls are tightening, Biden just committed the mother of all gaffes, and Obama is flying off to see his grandmother, who broke her hip? Are broken hips typically life threatening, and if so, wouldn't she be in hospital? And if he's just going to cheer her up or whatever, wouldn't it make more sense to be there for her birthday which is on Sunday? This makes no sense whatsoever. I am no fan of conspiracy theories (ok, I am, but even if I like them, I don't usually subscribe to them) but Obama's actions are bizarre. Of course he knows the media will cover for him, but come on people! It just too bad we have to depend on bozos like Martin to try and uncover the truth. I want to know what's going on already.

I was wondering the same thing. If he comes up with a birth certificate when he returns, it really needs to be looked into for forgery.
Broken hips can be life-threatening for frail elderly folks, but she actually broke it a few weeks ago. And in response to this supposed “emergency,” he announced he was leaving about 3 days later (Thursday).
I’m sure he’s up to something, and it’s not smoothing Granny’s pillows and bringing her iced tea.
A hip break can be devastating for an older person. Having said that, I don’t think he would let a little thing like an ailing grandma get in the way of becoming president.
My best guess is he is just playing prevent defense, taking time off to avoid mistakes and visit Hawaii because he thinks he is way ahaead and can afford the trip. Also to get teh free positive press and use that to blunt any McCain attacks.
Second guess: That dems will unleash something vicious on McCain while Obama pretends to be uninvolved.
Wasn’t Maya born in Indonesia? Where would she get a Hawaii COLB? Just askin.
I wholeheartedly agree. First the trip when the COLB was all the talk and now this. If he were that concerned about Granny, he would move her to his home in Chicago to personally oversee her care and have her be with family. No, this is NOT about Granny - and her birthday is Sunday? OMG! It is all about hiding the truth. Hey, Barry - the truth will set you free!
Could be pneumonia. I’m thinking she wasn’t up and mobile enough after the break. She may be too weak to fight it off.
Running out the clock- as Rush says. It’s sad that we live in a country where 1/2 of voters will pull the lever for this fraud....
If Grandma wont corroborate/cooperate then she may become the first Obamacide.
Sadder still that the other half will have to reluctantly vote for McCain...yet here I am.
I agree 100%. This trip is related to the BC issue.
Nothing happens at this stage of the election for leader of the free world by chance or accident.
I’m disappointed in the lack of skepticism coming from the conservative radio talkers. They can ‘snoop around’ this trip without disrespecting the given reason for the trip.
My prediction:
Obama can read the polls and knows he will likely lose and therefore kill his career.
So, Obama will emerge in tears from Granny’s house and tell the assembled press that Granny finally confessed to him that he was born in Kenya and he will have to drop out of the race. He will apologize to his supporters and then fly home.
Once home, he will fly around the country supporting Biden and Biden’s VP pick (not HRC) and advocate for a Constitutional Amendment changing the “natural born” requirement since it is “racist”. He may even take his case to the SCOTUS so CJ Roberts takes the blame for rejecting Obama’s call to greatness.
Should I take bets on this?
We knew he was failing (even though not due to a fall) to the point where we had him on home hospice for his final three weeks.
