Zogby just released new state polling. Yes, they are online interactive surveys, but their reliability can't be any worse than some of the traditional phone polls that we've seen. Also, the closeness of so many of the states contradicts the 8 point national lead for Obama that Zogby released today.
If it stays this way the day before election then it is over. McCain by a landslide...
All of these polls are suspect. And you miss out on plenty of working folk when you call land lines. Who’s willing to take a call from a complete stranger and talk about the election? My wife and I have a landline we seldom use. We do use caller ID to screen.
Sorry, but my guess is that working taxpayers are not getting polled as much. That is the group of people for whom Obama’s spread the wealth will piss off the most. And that’s why Democrats win polls, and Republicans win elections.
In case I have not said it recently, McCain/Palin wins Ohio. Guaranteed.
He has McCain with a 7 point lead in Nevada, and that stays in the “tossup” category? LOL.
ACORN just registered the dog and cat, but I'll bring all the human beings I can.
Like I said if it stays this way before election day. I am not saying tomorrow.... I have seen many elections and voted in many, Democrats always lead in the polls but Republican always win the elections except Bill because of Perot..
and Virginia is a blue state even though his polling shows hussien up by 3.6pts...
I understand what you’re saying. I just think that if the lead was really 8 points, most of these states would not be within the margin of error.
When McCain wins, the national media/polling organizations/ journalism industry will be forced to adapt an entirely new model from which to operate for the next federal election. They have erroneously oversampled Dems because they have been hoodwinked into thinking that those registrations are authentically based on preference for the party; they rely on land lines to do their polling, which again oversamples Democrats who stay home and either are elderly or on welfare; and last but not least, they over-value “national” polls as barometers. At this stage in the campaign, it is all about the states’ individually—not a stupid national poll. That’s my theory.
they will again change to plus 15 for obama when he has his “Billy Graham” TV moment on 10/29/08
The stock market crashed. Everyday Bush, Bernanke and Paulson come out and yell FIRE IN THE THEATRE!! Battleground comes out this morning and it’s a one point race. “FIRE IN THE THEATRE”, all of a sudden comes the MSM polls!!! I tell you there is something rotten in Peoria. If the american people can’t get fired up with all the bull____ being fed them by those who would relegage us to a third world country, we deserve what we get. GET FIRED UP, GET FIRED UP, Call your friends, ride your horse and warn the people, THE WORLD IS COMING, THE WORLD IS COMING, RISE UP AND FIGHT!!!!!!!
just once, I’d like to see a completely unweighted poll (a la Nov. 4). Of course, having the Democrats in charge of everything means it will be difficult, but...
McCain needs to rehash the “Celebrity” commercial.
Back in the pre-Palin days, the campaign was almost dead until McCain ran the celeb commerical. This changed things.
Rework the ad into the “Cult of OBama” maybe with clips of people saying they don’t know why they support him or something like that. Then cut to McCain, I have the experience and am tested or something like that. Unleash that ad towards the end of next week (so the Obama Hawaii trip will be off the front pages and it won’t seem “mean spirited” to the public.
The bandwagon effect is alive and well with Obama, point it out and make people re-think about it just like the celeb ad and the election is McCain’s.
Al Franken totally looks like Dr. Susan Love
gees, they look like identical twins.....yeoooouuuuww.
