ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann says she regrets using the term "anti-American" while discussing Barack Obama's views.
Bachmann told the St. Cloud Times on Tuesday that she "made a big mistake" by going on MSNBC's "Hardball" on Friday.
Her statement that Obama "may have anti-American views" drew condemnation and helped her opponent, Democrat Elwyn Tinklenberg, raise more than $1 million in just a few days.
Bachmann says she walked into a trap and did not bring up the term "anti-American." She says she does not believe that Obama is anti-American or that members of Congress should be investigated for their views on America. She says, "I deeply regret it because that is not what I meant."

Michelle, you were CORRECT on hardball. Obama is ANTI-AMERICAN. And so are a bunch of marxists sitting in the House and Senate, and hell yes, a responsible media should expose their vile anti-Americanism.

I agree. I saw the video of her Hardball interview. She stood her ground and did real well - and who can doubt that Senator Zero is anti-American? That’s what you are when you are consorting with unrepentant terrorists.
Unfortunately, now she will get the worst of all worlds. Her opponents will never forget nor forgive, and her supporters don’t know what to support any longer. Sad.
I would say Murth should be sued for his role in the Haditha trial. Reid should be thrown in jail or tarred and feathered buck naked for his "the war is lost" comments.
Oh wait I forgot Dick Durbin and Barney Frank as well, all anti American.
