WASHINGTON An ugly line has been crossed in this presidential campaign, one in which some people dont mind calling Barack Obama a dangerous Muslim, a terrorist and worse.
"To me, this all feels much worse than weve seen in some time," said Kathryn Kolbert, the president of People for the American Way, which monitors political speech.
Experts agree on the reasons: Obama, the Democratic nominee, is different from any other major presidential candidate in history in many ways, and people often dont accept such change gracefully.
That different background fuels many fears, said Penni Pier, an expert on political rhetoric. People are still scared that terrorists are ready to strike and wonder about Obamas background, she said, while the Internet and other outlets are endless sources of misinformation.
Some think that GOP strategists are, as Kolbert put it, "orchestrating" the vitriol.

how do these people have the NERVE to talk about “hate speech” given the way they have savaged Palin and “Joe the plumber”. If there is some “hatin’” going on it was them who threw it in the stew.
Of course there is no such thing as a hate-filled attack on a Republican.
Goes without saying here, I know...
The burning, pain and itching of another Obamarhoid.
Obama is a Muslim-terror sympathizer.... and that should be the term that is used... not simply a Muslim.
It is much more effective because voters, in their hearts, know it is true.
Agents provocateur, no doubt. It’s their M.O.

And that is just from other Muslims!
GG: Whos Jesus to you?OBAMA: Right. Jesus is a historical figure for me, and hes also a bridge between God and man, in the Christian faith, and one that I think is powerful precisely because he serves as that means of us reaching something higher. And hes also a wonderful teacher. I think its important for all of us, of whatever faith, to have teachers in the flesh and also teachers in history.

Obama: "Theres the belief, certainly in some quarters, that people havent embraced Jesus Christ as their personal savior that they're going to hell."
GG: You dont believe that?
OBAMA: I find it hard to believe that my God would consign four-fifths of the world to hell. I cant imagine that my God would allow some little Hindu kid in India who never interacts with the Christian faith to somehow burn for all eternity. Thats just not part of my religious makeup.

GG: What is sin?
OBAMA: Being out of alignment with my values.
And separately (I posted the link to the following quote in a post to that thread):
In his 2006 book The Audacity of Hope Obama wrote, I was not raised in a religious household... My mother's own experiences... only reinforced this inherited skepticism. Her memories of the Christians who populated her youth were not fond ones... And yet for all her professed secularism, my mother was in many ways the most spiritually awakened person that I've ever known.[22] Religion for her was just one of the many ways and not necessarily the best way that man attempted to control the unknowable and understand the deeper truths about our lives, Obama wrote.(Wikipedia quotes from his autobiography)
and
Indonesia has the world's largest Muslim population, but Obamas household was not religious. "My mother, whose parents were nonpracticing Baptists and Methodists, was one of the most spiritual souls I ever knew," Obama said in a 2007 speech. "But she had a healthy skepticism of religion as an institution. And as a consequence, so did I."(Time Magazine)
He may not be a muslim but he doesn't seem to be a Christian to me.
Quoting “People for the American Way” is like asking Goebbels to comment on National Socialism.

People for the American Way aren’t.
They have many roots, but almost all of those roots spring from his marxism and criminality.
Combined with the eight years of what they have spewed against President Bus and VP Cheney.
What is this? Have we now come to the point where it is hate speech to question a potential despot, or a potential anti-Christ? I am not saying that Obama is this person, I am only saying he is potentially “the one” (though not in the way the liberal media means it). That is a dangerous place to be. If and when such a person ever comes on the scene, how will people be able to communicate against such a person? This is a very dangerous place to be. I guess if you try to talk about what the truth is, you are just being negative? Wow, these educated “experts” have really put us between a rock and a hard place, how the heck did THAT HAPPEN?
