First off, your analysis is a good one - and I too am cynical as to why Obama has to travel to Hawaii to see grandma when she's ‘resting st home’ and out of the hospital. My first thought would be that I'd go visit her as soon as I heard that she's landed in a hospital - and if Obama would've been like-minded, he would have left for Hawaii right after the debate with McCain last Wed. night.
But, that did not happen, and instead he went to VA, MO and FL. It is certainly possible that with the high average population of senior citizens in FL, that this could have been a calculated move.
I'm willing to bet that many of the ‘seasonal’ residents of FL (the ones from the Northeast traveling south for the winter months) are voting twice — once in their home state, and then again in their second state of FL, where they spend half of the year. Some of these folks are Dems, so Obama’s campaign is doing right by running these ads now, which is around the time that these folks start going south.
I'll call this new voting block ‘GERI-CORN’ — a mix between multiple ACORN registrations and GERITOL.

Why aren’t Michelle and the children going along to visit the “gravely ill” grandmother???
To: CatOwner
Good question. You’d think he’d be on the next plane if his grandma were truly “gravely” ill.

But then, October 21 is the 30-day time period for which Berg’s petition to disqualify Obama rolls. Maybe he went to Honolulu to hide out and Michelle will bring the kids over later in the week and they can hide out together over in the island paradise of Kanai.
So, if today is the deadline for Berg’s petition and the judge rules against Obama, it might take a couple of days for the paperwork to catch up. So two days from now, Obama might be an unqualified candidate.
Then what? Would the dems be stuck with Biden and move Hillary into the #2 spot? Or does Hillary claim the #1 spot because she was the #2 vote-getter?
Good grief! The dems can make a mess out of the simplest things.

Well, yeah, but Nancy Reagan broke her hip and has been in and out of the hospital and is at home recuperating now.

As you well know breaking a hip at that age usually does not have a good prognosis medium or long term.
I wish the lady well and will say a prayer for her.

And let's hope Mrs Dunham reacts as well,
And hope there is a tail on him and his henchmen the whole time they're on the island.

This cannot be a coincidence that Obama is going to see his sick (white) grandmother 10 days before the election. Look for a photo of him embracing her. She may be ill but the timing is very suspicious.

Prayers for Madelyn Dunham. May she recover and live many more productive years.
I still wonder about the timing of Barry's arrival in Hawaii. Why didn't he curtail his politicking the moment he heard she'd broken her hip? Why politic for a couple more days and then go see her on the weekend?
Somethings up. I contend he's going to admit he's not a US Citizen and pull out of the race, giving McCain the landslide. He didn't answer Berg's lawsuit and did admit he got it. No word that he asked for an extension. So he has no rebuttal and is in effect admitting to not being a Natural Born Citizen.
But I wonder how his narcissistic personality can handle the new set of circumstances. Something's up. We'll have to wait to find out what it is.

Yes, my first thought was that - had I been Obama - I’d go visit Grandma as soon as I heard that she had landed in a hospital> He should’ve left for Hawaii right after the debate with McCain last Wednesday night.
